General Hospital spoilers and updates tease Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) could be forced by Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) to take Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) place.
He and Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) need a scientist of Britt’s stature to finish the cold fusion project, and Liesl would fit the bill!
They Need Someone With The Skills, And With The Faison Connection
Cullum and Sidwell need someone with the skills, and also with the Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) connection, and who better than the mother of three of his children, who was involved with him for years?
However, that doesn’t mean that Liesl would agree to complete this project-especially not if she’s even vaguely familiar with it at all-apparently, it’s a dangerous weapon.
The last years Liesl was involved with Faison, she was constantly trying to hang onto a man who was more interested in someone else-make that obsessed, with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes)!
Cullum and Sidwell could do any manner of things to force Liesl to cooperate with them and complete the cold fusion prototype.
It shouldn’t be difficult-if Britt was telling the truth about being almost ready to go on line!
On The Other Hand, Liesl May Know All About This Project
On the other hand, Liesl may know all about this project-although she didn’t know Britt was being blackmailed to work on it for an experimental Huntington’s Disease cure until “Nathan West” (Ryan Paevey) told her.
Even then, Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) didn’t tell her exactly what project that Britt had been working on, and Britt kept it secret from their mother-probably for her own protection!
Sidwell initially didn’t want to replace Britt at this late stage of the game, but Cullum insisted, and had someone in mind.
He didn’t get a chance to tell him who, however, because at that moment, Detective Joe Fitzpatrick (Jonathan Bennett) showed up to interrogate Pascal Leveque (Marc Forget).
Liesl Will Give A Warning
Chances are, Liesl will be blackmailed into completing the project, and the warning she gives may be of how dangerous the weapon will be, should it be used.
However, it will be interesting to see exactly who corrals Liesl into finishing the project-whether Sidwell or Cullum himself force-recruits her.
As far as we know, Liesl has never met or seen Cullum, who bears an eerie resemblance to a much younger Cesar-that’s how he was able to gaslight Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) so realistically.
On the other hand, the warning Liesl gives may be much more deadly-she may threaten to turn the weapon on, and cause mass destruction!
Might there be a surprise ahead if Cullum deals with Liesl directly, and we find out he’s Cesar’s brother-or something even more unbelievable?
