The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Victor’s Dangerous Matt Plot Targets Cane – Lily Sees Red

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will move forward with a plot that comes with way too many risks.

The week of June 8-12 will bring some shocking developments that are sure to leave Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) fuming.

Instead of handing Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) over to the cops or simply wiping him off the map, Victor intends to work another angle. The goal is to test Matt’s sincerity when it comes to his remorse and his promise to make things up to the Newmans.

Matt will be willing and eager to please Victor, so he’ll listen to his new assignment carefully. Based on Y&R’s weekly preview video, Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) will become the victim of Victor’s next scheme.

Matt will wonder if they’re going to start Victor’s plan for him to “go get Cane,” but what does that mean exactly? How will Victor want Matt to go after Cane in the coming episodes?

Since Matt’s supposed to be proving he’s not the monstrous man he was before, it’s tough to believe Victor will ask him to do anything that would physically harm Cane unless it’s part of the test.

There’s a chance Victor might ask Matt to hurt Cane somehow with the hope that he’ll insist he can’t do it. Matt might reject Victor’s request once he hears the gory details and pass part one of the test as a result.

However, it’s also possible that Victor will task Matt with doing something else that isn’t a crime and won’t hurt Cane in any physical sense. It may be more about mind games in the end.

This may relate to Lily’s desire to let Cane run Chancellor. Victor may disapprove after signing Chancellor over to Lily and take steps to stop Cane from taking the throne.

Whatever the case, you can bet Lily will be furious when she finds out Victor is letting Matt do his dirty work regarding Cane. Matt could still be dangerous since his sinister side could come back at any moment.

Lily may blow up at Victor over his plans for Matt and the jeopardy that he’s putting Cane in. Matt is too much of a wildcard to be taking orders and making Cane a target in any way.
