General Hospital spoilers indicate that Kirsten Storms is exiting the role of Maxie Jones. The actress recently hopped on Instagram to give fans an update on her life and her future plans, which don’t include returning to the ABC soap and the Maxie Jones role.

Kirsten Storms’ IG Update

Storms uploaded a four-page note with the title, “Update (again), this topic is difficult to address … but here we go …”

Storms began by saying, “I’m sure some of you guys have the stories online regarding a satiation involving something my ex-husband is currently trying to claim.”

The actress went on to say she saw a story online that claimed she reported her apartment break-in after her ex-husband, Brandon Barash (ex-Days of Our Lives’ Stefan DiMera/Jake DiMera, ex-GH, Johnny Zacchara) filed an emergency restraining order for their shared 12-year-old daughter, Harper Rose Barash.

Storms made it clear that there is evidence proving she reported her apartment break-in before Barash’s filing.  

Maxie Jones Bombshell

Storms points to the evidence that she placed on her Instagram, showing a broken apartment door lock; something the actress claims happened months before Barash filed his court documents.

She made it clear that while she had waited before posting the photos on social media, she had been in touch with the building and filed reports with the police at the time of the incident.

Storms noted she’s since moved out of the building.

The actress went on to say that moving to Tennessee as a single mom (50% of the time) with a brain aneurysm condition, only to realize that her privacy and apartment were being violated, was upsetting.

She thanked fans for the DMs and support, but the biggest bombshell of the note was dropped at the end.

Storms stated that given the situation, and witnessing the downside to her profession, she revealed she’s not returning to General Hospital.

Storm’s Turmoil

Storms has had a very challenging 2025 and 2026, as she deals with some issues in her personal life.

She’s made claims on social media that her new apartment in Tennessee was broken into, plus her Wi-Fi account and iCloud were hacked.

Meanwhile, Barash recently alleged in late April, when he filed his emergency restraining order, that Storms told him she was “experiencing delusions and hallucinations” and “didn’t think she should have the child for her parenting time.”
