Last month, we learned that Australia has decided to cut funding to Invictus Games, and this week, we’re learning that they’ve overturned the decision.

Invictus Games was founded by Harry in 2014 to help wounded veterans reintegrate into the society by giving them hope and a driving goal. In 2027, it will return to the UK for the first time in years, with Birmingham as the host city.

To promote the games and engage in other private and public engagements, Harry and Meghan traveled to Australia in mid-April.

The visit marked their first to the country since 2018, and while they didn’t exactly linger for a great many days, it was still enough for Harry to fall in love with the place.

Harry also feels that more than offering a “fresh start,” it could prove valuable to Meghan’s lifestyle brand, As Ever.

The Duchess has been reportedly looking to expand her brand to new territories even before Netflix walked.

With a move to Australia, expanding her lifestyle brand’s footprint there could be a walk in the park.

There is only one tiny problem: the last time they visited, tens of thousands of Australians had signed a petition to request that their trip be privately funded.

In other words, the Australians were not interested in doling out the royal treatment.
