Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Joy’s Blackmail Controversy – Is Mom Right To Force Stephanie Out Of Baby Kelsey’s Life?

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins) recently made a huge decision that affects her child’s future.

Joy understandably flipped out over nearly getting shot by Stephanie Kiriakis (Abigail Klein), especially since Kelsey Kiriakis (Lena and Mira Chase) could’ve been with her.

Joy hates to think about what might’ve happened if she’d been holding Kelsey and Stephanie had better aim. Now that Joy’s so shaken up, she’s determined to make Kelsey a priority and keep her safe no matter what.

That’s why Joy presented Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) with shocking news and a non-negotiable proposal in Days’ June 12 episode.

Joy agreed that she wouldn’t file a criminal complaint and force the DA’s office to pursue charges. In exchange, Joy made it clear that Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) had to keep Stephanie away from Kelsey.

DOOL fans know Alex wasn’t happy about the corner that Joy backed him into and even called it blackmail. Of course, Joy doesn’t care what Alex wants to call it as long as their daughter stays safe.

Joy doesn’t trust Stephanie around the baby at this point, so we have to ask: Is Joy right to force Stephanie out of Kelsey’s life?

At the moment, it’s easy to see why Joy’s distraught and angry enough to push for this. Some Days viewers may feel Joy is right to put Kelsey first and not care about anything else.

It’ll be hard for Stephanie to hear that Joy’s banning her from the baby, but even she may agree it’s for the best. Stephanie doesn’t plan on bringing the gun back into the apartment, but she’s just as shaken up as Joy and blames herself for being so reckless.

Since Stephanie has been struggling with the idea of being a stepmom to Kelsey anyway, Days spoilers suggest she may tell Alex that Joy’s decision is the right one.

That said, Joy could change her mind down the road. Stephanie could rebuild trust and leave Joy more open to letting her spend time with Kelsey sooner or later.
