General Hospital Spoilers: Sidwell’s Trial Sparks Escape Plot – Will Sonny Finish Him Off?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) isn’t going down without a fight.

Although Sidwell was arrested and is set to stand trial, that doesn’t mean he’s ready to surrender to whatever prison sentence he might receive.

Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) nearly killed Sidwell during their faceoff in Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) gallery, but ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) convinced him to do things her way.

GH fans will recall that Sonny relented and let Sidwell get hauled off in handcuffs, so Justine was relieved since it meant she wouldn’t have to prosecute Sonny for murder.

However, Sonny obviously would’ve rather wiped Sidwell off the map entirely. If Sidwell uses his upcoming trial to escape, Sonny may wish he’d trusted his own instincts and ended him when he had the chance.

There’s no way Sidwell is going to land in the slammer if he can avoid it. Since Sidwell has plenty of resources and connections to rely on, he may find a way to call in some favors and plot his freedom.

Sidwell might stage some sort of transport van crash or find some other strategy to make a quick getaway. There’ll surely be some tactic Sidwell can use to potentially wiggle out of custody and make a break for it.

Sidwell may want to be careful if he does pull off an escape since that could leave him vulnerable to vengeful Sonny.

Perhaps Sonny could still have a chance to take deadly action against Sidwell depending on how things play out.

Of course, it’s also possible Sidwell could disappear or perhaps fake his own demise so that no one comes looking for him.

Sidwell will no doubt have a few tricks up his sleeve once this trial gets underway, so it’ll be interesting to see what’s in store.

It’d be pretty anticlimactic if Sidwell just went on trial, was found guilty and landed behind bars. There may be a big trial twist brewing, so stay tuned to see if an escape will be involved.
