‘General Hospital’ Spoilers Weekly Preview Video July 27-Aug 31: Deadly Cover-Up, Heroic Rescue, Shocking Discovery & Explosive Secret

General Hospital spoilers and updates for the week of July 27 tease Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) making a desperate plea, while Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) makes a rescue attempt.

Nina’s Crime, Chase’s Question

The video clip first shows a scene from Friday, July 24^th’s episode, when Nina pushed Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and his wheelchair into the lake by the Quartermaine boathouse.

She had brought him over to watch Scout practice swims in the lake, and several others were there as well. Alexis Davis, (Nancy Lee Grahn) Willow Cain, (Katelyn MacMullen) Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) were there, along with Jason and Danny Morgan (Steve Burton, Asher Antonyzyn).

Willow got an important phone call and said she had to leave, and the rest left, with Nina left alone with Drew.

Drew  made the potentially fatal mistake of revealing he’d regained his speech functions to Nina, taunting her-and she pushed him in the lake in a rage!

Chase Has Questions

In the Quartermaine mansion, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) is with Brook Lynn Quartermaine Chase (Amanda Setton) and baby Phoebe (Luna and Lucia Creighton).

Chase asks someone, “You pushed Drew’s wheelchair into the lake? I’m sorry, what?” It’s unclear exactly who he is talking to, surely he can’t be talking to Brook Lynn!

However, Gio is there in the house as well, and a preview scene for Monday, July 27 shows Brook Lynn telling him he should go for another swim before he has to return somewhere.

Might Gio have spotted the wheelchair and no Drew, and frantically tells what he saw too fast-or might someone else have spotted it too and be reporting back?

Nina’s Desperate Plea

It looks like Nina runs over to the WSB office to talk to Jack Brennan, (Chris L. McKenna) and she makes a desperate plea-she tells him he has to help her cover this up!

Apparently, she confesses what happened at the lake-after earlier making a call to him fearing she would do something she couldn’t take back!

It looks like Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) who were with him earlier have concluded their business and left the office.  Jack looks stern, even though Nina may have eliminated the problem of Willow being exposed!

Gio’s Rescue Attempt

Now Gio is wet, at the boathouse, and it’s obvious he’s made a rescue attempt-he tells whoever’s there, “I found him”!  But in what state has he found him, is the question-he may be barely alive, considering it seems there’s been quite an amount of time that has passed!

If Drew was able to hold his breath that long, there’s a chance-he was trained as a Navy Seal, after all, and that’s one thing they’re trained to do.

Drew has regained much  more of his memory back than years ago, when he first came to town and he and everyone else thought he was Jason!

The news will spread quickly around Port Charles about the fate of the disabled former Congressman!

Jack’s Back

Jack is now with Nina and it looks like they’re near the boathouse-it’s nighttime now, and he asks “Where is Drew now?”

That’s a good question-it depends on whether they show up before or after Gio finds him.  He appears to be asking Nina the question, and she doesn’t seem to know!

What’s the story going to be-Nina accidentally disengaging the brakes of the wheelchair while Drew was on a downward slope, rolling down the boat launch?

And instead of calling 911 she goes in person to the WSB instead-Jack’s not got much to work with for a coverup!

The News Spreads

The news about what happened to Drew is spreading around Port Charles, as a shocked Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) takes it in!

A man is telling Liz “You guys are not going to believe what happened!” Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) is also shown, so it’s possible it could be Gio, or it could be Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup).

Kai and Trina will jump to conclusions about what happened, and it’s easy to guess what they are.

They weren’t there at the boathouse for Scout’s swim, but given what they know about the night Drew was shot twice in the back, they’ll blame Willow! Only this time she didn’t try to kill Drew by drowning him.

Scout’s Horrifying Discovery

In the meantime, someone else has found Drew-Scout appears at a door and sees Willow, bending over her father on the floor-Willow’s horrified and so is Scout!

It’s difficult to tell whether Willow is trying to give CPR-which Gio would know how to do, as a lifeguard-or if she’s trying to finish him off!

 Scout says in a scared voice, full of fear, “Dad?”  Will Drew live or die is the first big question this week on the ABC soap-the second big question is will Willow, the obvious, but incorrect, suspect be blamed?

Or might the mother and daughter dastardly duo even try to throw each other under the bus?
