Meghan Markle and family’s summer vacation story is not yet complete. The carousel of pictures shared on Instagram captured her, Harry, and the children’s experiences throughout their vacation.
At the beach, at the swimming pool, sharing a hearty family meal at a restaurant, on their way to visit Princess Diana’s gravesite, and others like it.
But that wasn’t the full-scale of their summer holiday, as it’s just been revealed that they went as far as Scotland during their brief UK visit.
Royal Expert Reacts To Meghan Markle Hinting At Their Scotland Stay
Remember, prior to the Sussexes landing in the UK, the discussion was that they need security for several reasons. One of these reasons was that they didn’t want to be bothered by the media.
However, reality shows that the family could traverse the country without so much as one single person capturing a picture of them.
The Sussexes’ trip to the UK flew completely under the radar. But it’s even more astounding now that we know they didn’t only depart immediately after touching grass.
They actually stayed for a number of days in Scotland, and the papers did not leak anything about the stay. Meghan eventually did.
However, the way they were able to come and go in secret wasn’t the only thing that aroused Daily Beast’s Tom Sykes’ curiosity. It’s the narrative Meghan is trying to paint with her Instagram posts.
Weighing in on this, expert Sykes writes, “Of all the images she shared, only one was taken in an identifiable public place (an oddly framed roadside shot) and it just happens to be in the Scottish Highlands, a couple of hours’ drive from Balmoral…”
He added: “The interesting thing is not that it suggests they got an invitation to Balmoral (I don’t believe they did) but that Meghan is so deliberately laying a trail of breadcrumbs, widening the curiosity gap, nakedly trying to manufacture the impression that they were received by the King.
It is a revealing signal of just how important royal adjacency remains to the Sussex project, and, to my mind, further proof that Charles should have taken Clive Alderton’s advice not to receive them at all, rather than [hosting them at Highgrove.]”
