The Series Centers Around Elizabeth Thatcher

As fans of When Calls the Heart are aware, the series centers around Elizabeth Thatcher (Erin Krakow), a young educator who relocates to a coal-mining community.

The beloved show concluded its thirteenth season in March. Viewers recognize Chris McNally as Lucas Bouchard-he made his debut in the sixth season.

Initially serving as a romantic interest for Elizabeth, he even proposed to her during the Season 9 finale. They later ended their engagement, leading Elizabeth to develop feelings for Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry).

McNally And Others Have Film Projects They Are Working On

In exciting news, McNally is set to take on a new role in an upcoming film, Love Finds You, and When Calls the Heart is helping to promote it; he will star alongside Aimee Teegarden, known for her role in Friday Night Lights.

According to Hallmark’s website, Love Finds You tells the story of a jewelry designer named Alex, portrayed by Aimee, who believes that a wrongly labeled package will guide her to true love. McNally plays Jack, a delivery driver who joins her on this journey.

The official Instagram account of the show even released a promotional video that includes a sneak peek of the film. Notably, McNally is not the only cast member from the series who has exciting new projects in the works.

The Announcement Promotes The Channel’s “Fall Into Love” Lineup

This announcement promotes Hallmark’s upcoming “Fall into Love” lineup, set to launch on August 16-in a shared clip, it teases, “8 all-new movies!  It features MANY familiar faces from When Calls the Heart; can you identify them all-share your thoughts in the comments below.”

Among the stars featured are Lori Loughlin and Kevin McGarry; Loughlin will return in the Garage Sale Mystery series, portraying Jennifer Shannon.

Meanwhile, McGarry is anticipated to star in a Halloween-themed film titled A Halloween Carol, and McNally’s partner, Julie Gonzalo, has exciting news as she will be featured in another Fall film, Her Knight to Remember.
