Nick Newman’s Demons

Let’s start with Nick, who will have to face his demons. Unfortunately, he won’t do it on his own. Nick was having drug dreams and nightmares about Matt Clark (Roger Howarth).

The man was already freaking out in rehab, and then Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) decided to leave town.

Seriously, Noah couldn’t have waited a few weeks until his dad was out of rehab? Moving forward, Nick will continue to get questioned by his family.

It really does seem like Nick is using any excuse not to go back to rehab. Fans know that Nick made a call to a dealer.

Like many addicts, it is going to take more than one attempt for Nick to get clean.

Lonely Motel

Nick will go to a seedy motel so he can use in peace. However, that peace is short-lived. It seems someone named Marie crashes Nick’s one-man party! 

Under normal circumstances, Nick probably wouldn’t have much to do with someone like Marie.

However, it sounds like Nick’s drug use will have him making some dangerous decisions. Marie might be an addict too, and could lead Nick further down the wrong road.

Meeting Marie Kirkland

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Monday, August 10 reveal that Marie will be looking for a new beginning. So, that sounds like she’s running from someone or something.

This could mean even worse news for Nick if she isn’t a good person. Wouldn’t it be interesting if Marie was somehow connected to Matt? 

It would be interesting if Nick and Marie ended up having some kind of romance. Sometimes, addicts do get clean together, but only if both really want it.

So, without knowing too much about Marie, she could either be Nick’s saving grace, or the devil on his shoulder. Perhaps she might be a little bit of both!

I imagine Nick’s romance might create some jealousy and issues for Sharon Newman (Sharon Case).

Fans know that Sharon still has feelings for Nick, but there doesn’t seem to be a SHICK reunion in the works.

Of course, unless Marie makes Sharon fight for the man she wants, so fans need to stay tuned!
