The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Jack Keeps Running Back To Nikki – Is His Marriage To Diane In Trouble?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) has had a heck of a time lately with being targeted by Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and assaulted by Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk).

He doesn’t need more drama but now he’s hatched a scheme to lure Patty out of hiding by pretending to have a medical emergency.

his too shall pass—eventually Patty will be caught or slink off into the night for a few more months. But we suspect that Jack will never be at true peace due to one very long-standing obsession: Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott).

Jack’s Worst Enemy

Jack’s worst enemy is himself. Despite regaining his wife Diane Abbott’s (Susan Walters) love and trust after Patty’s escapades, he cannot stay away from Nikki. Diane thinks he should steer clear of her (she’s jealous) so as not to enrage Victor.

But Jack can’t seem to quit Nikki. He lights up when he sees her and seems to be wrapped around her finger as evidenced by his ignoring Diane and Victor’s requests to not be Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) sponsor.

Jack Playing With Fire

Jack’s latest incursion came with him telling Nikki that he can help her with Vibrante, a project which is really an excuse for Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) affair.
In other words, Jack is continually there for Nikki even when he doesn’t need to be. Is Diane right to pitch a fit over this?

Jack Ignores Good Advice

With all that he’s been through, and all that he knows Victor is capable of, why does Jack insist on being Nikki’s savior?

Over and over he rushes to her side, even purposely OD’ing to save her life.

Nikki is Jack’s Weakness?

The fact that Jack doesn’t stay in his lane points to a serious lapse of judgement and we all know that love makes us do crazy things.

There’s no reason why Jack is the only person in GC who can be a good sponsor for Nick. Victor is right on this one. Yet Jack and Nikki are not listening and Victor is already planning his revenge.
