The Young and the Restless spoilers remind fans that Phyllis is in her early fifties, but soap opera ages can fluctuate up or down if the storyline demands it!

It would be hard to believe if Phyllis got pregnant at this point (as she’s technically a grandmother), but anything is possible in the land of daytime drama, right?

During the Thursday, September 17 episode, Matt blindsided Phyllis by leaving her a ‘goodbye’ note at the Riverbank motel.

While the duo had been looking to set up ways to redeem Matt in the eyes of the Newmans, it seems like their plot to lure Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) out of hiding and to the authorities failed.

Matt decided the only way he could truly redeem himself was to just leave town. Phyllis was devastated and worried that Matt had run off with Patty. The show ended with the two running into each other at Crimson.

Matt Clark Takes Off – But Something Brings Him Back

Matt wants to do better and be better, so if Phyllis learns she’s pregnant, that could be a gamechanger for both him, their relationship, and returning back to town.

Matt seems adamant about leaving GC, and all arrows are pointing in the direction that he’ll do just that. Still, what happens *if* he finds out Phyllis is expecting?

As far as storylines go right now, Matt doesn’t have any children. Now that Matt is a ‘good’ person, there’s no way he wouldn’t want to be involved with every aspect of his child’s life. Fans can tell Phyllis is absolutely smitten and would take Matt back in an instant.

After all, when he did leave his goodbye note, Phyllis’s first instinct was that Patty manipulated him into going on the run with her, rather than laying any accountability on Matt for this decision.

If Phyllis ended up pregnant, could Matt and Red have a real chance at building love and a family?
