The Young and the Restless Star Eileen Davidson Hospitalized After Scary AccidentSome shocking news for The Young and the Restless fans, as Eileen Davidson, who plays Ashley Abbott, was hospitalized after a cold plunge experience went terribly wrong. CTS has all the details below.

Eileen Davidson’s Cold Plunge Disaster

Davidson hopped on Instagram to share the news of her cold plunge injury. According to the Daytime Emmy winner, she’ll be sidelined for some weeks to recover from a fractured patella.

The actress posted a photo of her swollen kneecap and her leg in a brace, next to a photo of herself dancing. In a ‘how it started/how it’s going’ IG post, Davidson’s caption read, “I sure won’t be making those moves anytime soon! Slipped getting out of a cold plunge and fractured my patella.” 

She added, “I’m gonna be down for the count for quite a few weeks recovering from surgery.”

Davidson also thanked the EMTs and the team at Los Robles Hospital in her post.

The Comment Section Was Everything

Fans and soap opera colleagues flooded the comment section to send well-wishes. Young and the Restless co-star Lauralee Bell (Christine Romalotti) wrote, “Oh no!! So sorry! Speedy recovery! Heal well and in time knowing you you’ll get your groove back,” while Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Lawson) chimed in, “Nooooooo Sending huge hugs, love you!”

Meanwhile, Days of Our Lives’ Stephen Nichols (Steve Johnson), who also played Tucker McCall on the Y&R and was once the actress’s love interest on the show, commented, “Oh, Eileen… so sorry! Get better soon. Sending love and healing vibes.”

Among others to chime in was Davidson’s onscreen daughter, Melissa Ordway, who plays Abby Winters. Ordway wrote, “Oh nooooo.”

In addition, former Young and the Restless co-star, Jessica Collins (ex-Avery Bailey Clark) commented, “No! On the other hand – that first photo is priceless!”

The Bold and the Beautiful stars, Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan) and Rebecca Budig (Dr. Taylor Hayes) also hit the comment section.

Lang wrote, “Ouch! So sorry to hear that! I hope you have a fast recovery!” as Budig commented, “WHOA. Praying for a fast recovery! That looks very painful.”
