Can things just go back to the way they once were? That’s probably what Prince Harry is thinking to himself now that he’s back in the UK with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their two children. But what the Duke of Sussex wants and what he gets are two very different things.

According to the Daily Mail, Harry knows that there’s a lot of controversy surrounding his decision to come back home, but none of that is deterring him from ultimately getting what he wants again.

One source close to the situation even put it this way, “Remember, this is a couple who had briefing after briefing after briefing against them from parts of the establishment. They had really prepared themselves for this outcome before they came back. They were always expecting it.”

But here’s the thing: for Prince Harry, he knows that people are going to talk and they are going to have their opinions and gossip about all the reasons why his dream life in America went bust. But that doesn’t matter anymore.

What’s Next For The Duke of Sussex?

That’s because all he really wants is to be back in the royal fold, for better or for worse. The insider added, “Look, they expect to be let back in.

Harry expects they [the Royal Family] need him. He and Meghan have nothing else going for them. They’ve burned every bridge in America.”

Now, whether or not Prince Harry gets his wish granted, remains to be seen but for now King Charles made it clear in a statement that he and Meghan Markle are going to be treated as private citizens in the UK, and nothing more.

As disappointing as that is, Harry is simply going to have to deal with it. So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter, although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said. Watch this space as we have a feeling there is so much more to come.
