General Hospital Spoilers: Monet’s Ultimate Betrayal – Takes On Sidwell To Spite Jordan?

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease Monet Mitchell (Blythe Howard) and Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) aren’t exactly the closest of sisters, as fans could tell last week on the ABC soap.

But would Monet be mean enough to take on Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) as a client just to spite her older sister?

A Bitter Sisterly Reunion

Monet was downright mean to Jordan when they encountered each other in the Metro Court Gardens unexpectedly-she even made a dig at her facial and neck scars. Jordan may not have kept track of Monet for all these years, but it seems obvious that Monet kept track of her-and took her moving to Port Charles as being very suspicious!

She wanted to know why Monet moved from California to Port Charles, calling Port Charles “her town” when they hadn’t spoken for years.

Jordan’s been in Port Charles for around six years now, with many years as a Drug Enforcement Agent before that-and her son, TJ Ashford (most recently Tajh Bellow) is in his early thirties.

Then before that she had been married to Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) late brother Tommy Ashford (uncast) so, that’s a lot of years that she and Monet haven’t seen each other.

Old Rivalry Runs Deep?

It’s not been disclosed how many years the sisters are apart in age, but Monet apparently had a thriving legal practice in California, and decided to join Miller & Davis.

Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) were looking for someone to replace the late Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo).

And, Monet got the job-it can be assumed that the sisters are only a few years apart in age, since it doesn’t sound like Monet was a child when Jordan left home.

The sisters are probably close enough in age to be rivals-and possibly there’s someone in their past that they had a falling out over-maybe a man!

Why Did She Really Come Here?

It’s not unusual for people moving to a new area to check out the lay of the land ahead of the move, usually by checking out a town’s online newspaper or perhaps television station websites.

If so, then that might be how she knew Jordan was in Port Charles-there had to be a lot of news about Jordan and Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) wreck, and also Curtis’ trial. But, there is the possibility that she did keep track of her over the years and as Jordan suspects, moved there on purpose.

Jordan didn’t press her on the matter-especially since their little talk was stressful as it was! But, it may get even more stressful should the client that Monet will take on later in the week is Sidwell!

A Dangerous Client Needs Help

Sidwell and Curtis were badly beaten, and will be in the hospital-with Curtis in the intensive care unit.

Sidwell was trying to get Alexis to represent him because of his fears of being beaten by Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) associates on Sonny’s orders, Alexis refused.

It’s pretty clear that Sidwell was trying to set Sonny up, even though Sonny’s man Vito (uncredited) was SUPPOSEDLY there providing protection for certain inmates Sonny knew who have families. 

If Monet is as prickly as she seems to be, and if she has been keeping track of Jordan over the years, she may know Jordan worked for Sidwell for a while.

Would she take on Sidwell as a client to spite Jordan, even knowing Curtis was collateral damage-no one would be surprised!
