Surely, this was a mistake that she could have easily avoided, right? Of course, we are talking about Meghan Markle as she is once again being criticized for apparently hanging out with the “wrong crowd.”

That’s because the Duchess of Sussex was recently spotted going to a pub in the Cotswolds with none other than former television talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and her partner, Portia de Rossi.

But here’s the thing: Ellen has long been canceled in the American entertainment industry due to all the bullying allegations that were made against her.

And while Meghan might have been close with Ellen while she was still living in California, there are a lot of critics out there who think this is a bad move on the Duchess of Sussex’s part.

Out of all the celebrities in the world, the last one that Meghan should be snapped with is someone that no one even wants to talk to anymore.

Clearly, many royalists on both sides of the pond certainly did have a lot to say about the matter on social media.

Some even commented with, “Sorry, but Ellen DeGeneres remains a problematic figure, just like the Kardashians-Jenners and Chrissy Teigen. Associating with the Sussexes doesn’t absolve them of their past misdeeds.”

Another critic of the royals wrote, “Meghan can do so much better. Ellen is an absolute bully and she’s been canceled.”

What’s Next For The Duchess Of Sussex?

And then there was this comment as well: “I think this is what we’re going to see her mostly while she’s in the UK – lunch or dinner outings with friends, maybe snapped shopping here or there. I imagine security wise it’s much easier for her team to control a pub setting than a big public event.”
