General Hospital Spoilers: Monet’s Sinister Secret – Is Curtis Walking Into Her Trap?

Monet Mitchell has convinced Curtis Ashford to hire her, but her timing raises serious questions. Is Jordan's estranged sister hiding a dangerous agenda?

General HospitalGeneral Hospital Spoilers: Monet’s Sinister Secret – Is Curtis Walking Into Her Trap? spoilers and updates pose the question: What does Monet Mitchell (Blythe Howard) really have up her sleeve when it comes to Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner)?

She never mentioned being Jordan Ashford’s (Tanisha Harper) sister until Jordan was leaving town for Baden-Baden!

Key Takeaways

Monet Got A Mysterious Call While Meeting With Harrison Chase

More interestingly, Monet got a mysterious call while she was still meeting with Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard), and they were discussing his divorce.

He cut the meeting short when Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) texted him a link to Lulu Spencer’s (Alexa Havins Bruening) explosive exposé.

Monet got that call right around the time Jordan had returned from visiting Curtis, where he encouraged her to get treatment in Baden-Baden.

Might Monet have someone following Jordan and reporting back about her comings and goings?

It’s interesting that when Chase had to leave, Monet went straight to GH to follow up with Curtis!

After all, Monet’s sudden arrival in Port Charles has already raised questions about her true intentions.

Curtis Remembered His Conversation With Willow Tait

Curtis also remembered when he tried to get Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) to pull congressional strings to get his judgment vacated.

He was thinking about that conversation right before Monet arrived.

The hope of having the judgment completely vacated perhaps held him back from pursuing an appeal as enthusiastically as he otherwise might have.

Willow hadn’t been able to accomplish anything yet, but at least Curtis would remain in the hospital for a few more days of observation.

He told Jordan that he wouldn’t have to be transferred out of GH just yet before she left for Baden-Baden to receive treatment for her facial scarring.

Curtis gave Jordan his blessing to go.

Of course, Willow’s questionable offer to help Curtis has already complicated his legal situation.

Monet Did Her Homework On Curtis And His Trial

Monet certainly did her homework on Curtis and his trial, noting irregularities that might make his appeal a slam dunk!

She convinced him to hire her to handle the appeal, and that was a done deal before she dropped her bombshell.

That’s when Monet finally told Curtis that Jordan was her sister!

Curtis has known Jordan for over thirty years, and she never mentioned having a sister or revealed much about her family of origin.

Considering Jordan and Monet’s mysterious family history, Curtis may have good reason to question why Monet kept their relationship a secret.

Monet’s statement to Curtis in the preview for the episode airing Friday, October 9, is particularly telling.

It should make Curtis realize he might need to watch his back!

Monet tells him that Jordan has no idea what she’s capable of.

That’s quite a loaded statement! Just what does Monet really have in mind?

Annemarie’s Take

I don’t trust Monet’s timing one bit! She waits until Jordan is leaving town, convinces Curtis to hire her, and only then reveals they’re sisters. That’s suspicious.

And that warning about Jordan having no idea what she’s capable of? I’d be very careful if I were Curtis!

Do you think Monet genuinely wants to help Curtis, or is she setting him up to hurt Jordan?
