Sally Says The Baby Is The Perfect Wedding Gift

In the hotel suite where she gave birth, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) shares with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) that their newborn daughter represents the most perfect wedding gift imaginable.

Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) remains stationed by the doorway like someone who’s witnessed far more of this wedding than he’d anticipated.

Billy is eager to transport everyone to the hospital immediately.

Sally has another plan in mind: let him hold his daughter first.

After Billy leaves to clean up, Sally takes the moment to express her gratitude to Adam for his presence.

She hadn’t anticipated having a girl, yet here she is, absolutely perfect.

As viewers saw in Tuesday’s day-ahead recap, Adam unexpectedly delivered Sally’s baby while Billy was dealing with devastating family news.

Sally Wants The Family To Meet The Baby

This isn’t the wedding day Sally had envisioned, and Adam, recognizing that the room would benefit from fewer occupants, suggests departing.

She requests that he inform the family of what transpired, thanks him again, and he exits quietly.

When Billy returns freshly washed and emotionally moved, he cradles the baby, expresses how incredible her mother was, and hears Sally mention she’s uncertain what she would have done without Adam’s assistance.

Billy responds with the expression of someone enduring a dental procedure.

Then Sally addresses the actual matter: before anyone leaves, she wants her Grams and Coco Spectra (Ashley Campbell) to meet the baby.

The Family Piles In

Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver), Shirley Spectra (Patrika Darbo), and Coco burst into the suite with excitement, and Shirley declares that “great-grams” simply won’t do for someone of her caliber.

From then on, she’ll go by Gigi; no one dares to object.

Audra, the consummate event coordinator, volunteers to inform the guests so the celebration continues uninterrupted, spinning a tale that Sally has been rushed to the hospital in active labor.

It’s a convincing cover story with just one minor flaw.

Once she lays eyes on the newborn, everyone in attendance vows this child will be the most impeccably dressed infant imaginable.

No one in that room will let her leave the hotel in anything but designer wear.

Then comes the moment of truth: choosing a name, the family’s first real challenge.

They Name The Baby Ruby

Everyone rejects “Electra Spectra,” perhaps the only consensus reached in that room all evening.

Sally proposes Ruby, which resonates with all the redheads present, and Billy enthusiastically agrees.

He’s also considering a middle name but keeping it under wraps for now—a risky strategy in a room full of inquisitive women.

As the group disperses, Sally spots Billy’s phone call and asks if everything is fine.

He assures her they’ll discuss it another time.

She assumes he has questions about the birth as well. Those inquiries can wait.

Billy has never gracefully sidestepped a question before, so this should be entertaining.

Adam Calls Chelsea To Explain Things

In the hallway, a distressed Adam locates a functioning hotel phone—his first stroke of luck that day.

He contacts Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), explaining he must return home to change clothes, and they agree to meet at the entrance.

Descending the stairs in wedding attire but covered in blood, Adam presents a jarring sight.

Chelsea immediately assumes he was in a fight, a reasonable conclusion given his history.

Adam clarifies that Sally went into labor and he delivered the baby successfully and without complications.

Chelsea views his actions as heroic, even miraculous.

Adam’s tone grows vulnerable as he confesses his earlier inability to protect Sally and their daughter Ava, along with his fear of facing another delivery alone.

Chelsea responds by embracing him.

Cane Tells Lily About Going To London To Support Jill

At the club, Cane informs Lily that Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) is arranging flights and he’s prepared to depart.

His frustration stems from Billy’s silence. Both men believe Billy will deeply regret missing the chance to say goodbye to their mother—actually, Cane’s stepmother.

Cane’s irritation intensifies as he wonders what could possibly demand Billy’s attention.

The answer lies upstairs, being examined, weighed, and admired.

Rather than delay further, Cane arranges his own travel plans.

Billy And Cane Finally Catch Up

Lily reassures him that she’ll manage just fine in Genoa City, yet Cane finds himself haunted by recurring memories of Jill Abbott and his father.

Lily points out that Jill possesses a fighter’s spirit and remains capable of catching them off guard.

When Billy finally reaches out, Cane receives news of a newborn instead of travel details.

Cane offers his congratulations and concludes that Billy will remain where he is.

Billy is reluctant to abandon Sally and their newborn, though he feels compelled to visit his mother during what could be her final moments.

He can’t make the trip tonight, though perhaps tomorrow is possible.

He requests that Cane convey his love to her and inform her about her new grandchild.

As Wednesday’s spoilers previously revealed, Billy faced an impossible family decision between staying with his newborn daughter and rushing to Jill’s bedside.

Traci And Ashley Share Jill Stories With Abby

Across the room, the Abbotts discuss the latest developments regarding Jill and the toll it’s taking on Billy.

They’re deeply concerned about his emotional state, and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) expresses hope that he’ll reconcile with Jill before it’s too late.

Traci and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) bring Abby Newman Winters (Melissa Ordway) up to speed on their numerous confrontations with the “audacious” Jill.

Between the two of them, they have enough stories to fill an entire series.

It’s hard to imagine Jill appearing vulnerable.

Traci reflects that this situation underscores how vital it is to mend fractured relationships as soon as possible.

The Abbott Family Meets The Baby

Elsewhere, Coco and Audra speculate about whether Billy has found his perfect match.

Coco directly asks Audra if she has romantic feelings for him.

Audra deflects by saying the timing for that question has passed, then acknowledges he’s “quite the conversationalist”—a compliment laden with subtle meaning.

Despite their past conflicts and her finding him frustrating at times, Sally understands his imperfections and loves him deeply.

His devotion to her is genuine, and Audra is convinced their relationship will endure.

Chelsea arrives and instructs them to collect Shirley and head to Sally’s room.

Later, in the lounge, Audra returns and announces to everyone that the baby has arrived.

Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) reaches out to his brother to let him know the entire family is thrilled to welcome the newborn.

Kyle Tells Victoria About Jill’s Heart Attack

Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) approaches Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) to inform her about Jill’s heart attack so she can notify the children.

Victoria’s heart aches for Billy, prompting her to rush off to locate her kids.

Kyle’s parents, Jack and Diane, confront him regarding Victoria, but he clarifies he was simply relaying information about Jill’s medical emergency.

Jack appreciates his thoughtfulness.

Diane, possessing an intuitive sense for these matters, appears skeptical.

Kyle and Victoria reconnect, and Victoria shares that she hasn’t yet informed the children because she’s awaiting Billy’s approval.

Abby And Kyle Talk About The Chaos Of The Day

In the lounge, Abby and Kyle discuss the day’s chaos, and he invites her to dance.

Since her feet are sore, she redirects him toward Victoria instead.

The two dance with visible discomfort, and he wonders if they’ve danced together previously.

She draws a blank.

They’ve experienced much together, yet the dance floor apparently hasn’t been part of their shared history.

Then Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) calls to report that he and Katie Abbott (Sienna Mercuri) are traveling to meet their new sibling.

Kyle assumes Victoria is available and suggests they retire to a room.

His interpretation of retiring involves considerable activity.

The two slip away to another suite, and their time together appears to involve minimal rest.

Lily Gets The All-Clear

Lily receives a notification alerting her that her test results have arrived.

Traci encourages her to locate Cane immediately, so Lily attempts to reach him by phone.

However, her calls go unanswered—a frustrating pattern of phone avoidance that seems to be becoming a recurring theme throughout their wedding celebrations.

Unable to wait any longer, Lily decides to review the results on her own.

Once she finishes reading through them, she hurries toward the foyer in search of Cane and shares the news about her results with him.

The outcome is reassuring: they’re negative!

Cane lifts her up and spins her around in celebration.

She’s received the all-clear she was hoping for.

After weeks of worrying that her cancer might have returned, Lily finally has a reason to celebrate.

Annemarie’s Take

What an emotional episode! I loved seeing Sally and Billy welcome baby Ruby, but I couldn’t help feeling sorry for Adam.

He stepped up when Sally needed him, and I think delivering her daughter brought back some painful memories of losing Ava. I’m glad Chelsea was there to comfort him.

And poor Billy! He should be enjoying every moment with his new daughter, but instead, he’s worrying about whether his mother will survive. I hope he gets the chance to see Jill before it’s too late.

I’m also wondering how much longer Kyle and Victoria think they can keep sneaking around. Diane already seems suspicious, and those two aren’t exactly being careful!

But my favorite news was Lily getting the all-clear. After all that worrying, it was wonderful to see her and Cane celebrating together.

Were you happy to see baby Ruby arrive, and do you think Billy should leave Sally and their daughter to visit Jill?
