Reckell’s wife Kelly Moneymaker shared the news on Facebook, letting fans know that their beloved pet dog Dodger had passed.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Peter Reckell’s Beloved Pet Has Passed

Reckell’s wife Kelly Moneymaker broke the news on Facebook about their loss. “Our beloved, Dodger, left us today. He was a very special being and we are honored that he chose our family as his own. We’ve had many profound losses this year. We are devastated. Loden wrote his eulogy below. ✨🐾 💛🐾✨.”

Dodger’s beautiful photo shows that he was a handsome dog, with sable colored fur and a patch of white beneath his chin. He was 13 years old and no doubt had a great life with his family.

DOOL Spoilers – Peter Reckell’s Daughter Wrote A Moving Tribute To Dodger

This is a part of 12-year Loden’s tribute to Dodger:  “You are a great teacher of love, harmony, and peace, You have given me and all those who have loved you many years of happy memories and loved us more than should have been possible.”

Fans were moved by the family’s loss and sent much support and love with one writing, “Aww so sorry for your loss. Pets are family. Sending you love and prayers. Loden did a beautiful job with writing his Eulogy. You must be very proud. Rest in Peace Dodger.”

Another conveyed, “So very sorry, Kelly. Deepest condolences to the family, Loden’s eulogy/poem is a beautiful tribute. May my cat, Josie, meet Dodger across the Rainbow Bridge.”

Days of our Lives continues to show new episodes while the remaining three daytime dramas are in various stages of production. Reckell’s character Bo Brady is deceased but that has not stopped fans from calling for his return due to the announcement of a major departure.

Kristian Alfonso has played Bo’s widow Hope Brady for decades and she has announced that she is leaving the NBC show. It is a blow for many fans who have grown quite accustomed to having Hope onscreen, and the loss is double-barreled since Bo is already departed.
