Nikolas wed Ava on a dare and now neither can leave the marriage without forfeiting a fortune. Hence, Nikolas has gone to the dark side in order to get rid of Ava. He actually colluded with his teen son to make Ava believe that the boy, Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel), didn’t want to accept his dad if he was penniless.

Ava was feeling guilty and about to let Nik go free when she learned the awful truth: Nik was lying to her and Spencer was along for the ride.

Can we talk about how she learned this? It happened when she overheard Loose Lips Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) gossiping about Nik’s plan. This girl has the sense of a chipmunk, so how she ever was allowed to become an investigative reporter boggles the mind.

Now that his fiendish plan is caput, Nik needs a new one. What better way to rid himself of Ava than to pretend he is getting it on with Liz? Franco and Ava are circling each other at the moment, and the slightest spark could turn into ablaze.

Would the sight of Nik kiss Liz push Franco and Ava into revenge sex? It would if Franco’s tumor is back and he’s not himself as some are speculating based on the ruination of his portrait of Ava. Ava is desperate and needy right now (always?!) and it wouldn’t take much to get her in the sack. But if she breaks her vows, Nik wins and gets to keep his fortune as well as kick her to the curb.

      I doubt very much that will happen with Franco and Liz. Nik and Ava are end game. They have already begun going in that direction with them kissing earlier in the week.
