Hallmark Channel News: Jesse Metcalfe Stars In ‘Ships In The Night: A Martha’s Vineyard Mystery’

Hallmark Channel news and updates reveal fans of Jesse Metcalfe will be happy to hear that the handsome and talented actor has another movie project in the works. The busy thespian will be in yet another Hallmark movie and it is one in the Martha’s Vineyard Mystery series.

The movie is now filming on Vancouver Island in British Columbia. The project was originally scheduled to begin filming in March, but that was the exact time that COVID-19 effectively shut down the world, including film and television production.

Now that filming restrictions are easing, the cast and crew of the upcoming Martha’s Vineyard installment are back to the set with a rigorous quarantine protocol in place.

Jesse Metcalfe is the lead actor in the new Hallmark movie titled Ships in the Night: A Martha’s Vineyard Mystery.

Metcalfe’s first television role was on the NBC sudser Passions where he played Miguel Lopez- Fitzgerald. He starred on the soap for five years, took a brief hiatus, and returned for an encore in 2005. He then starred as the teenage hottie gardener John Rowland on ABC’s Desperate Housewives.

That role, playing opposite Eva Longoria, heightened his appeal and he went on to win a Choice TV Breakout Performance: Male award at the Teen Choice Awards for his performance.

Some fans know him best for his role as Christopher Ewing in the popular TNT series, Dallas. Metcalfe was in the Hallmark Channel’s Chesapeake Shores, and he also starred with Sarah Lind in Hallmark’s A Beautiful Place to Die: A Martha’s Vineyard Mystery. His other Hallmark projects include the Hallmark Channel original movies Christmas Next Door, A Country Wedding, and Christmas Under the Stars.

Hallmark Channel News – Jesse Metcalfe Broke Into The Business On NBC’s Soap Passions

Metcalfe’s other credits include the film John Tucker Must Die which also starred Sophia Bush, Brittany Snow and Ashanti, as well as The Other End of the Line, The Ninth Passenger, Escape Plan 2: Hades, God’s Not Dead 2, Beyond a Reasonable Doubt, The Tortured and Insanitarium.

When he’s not working Metcalfe loves to watch professional basketball, football, and baseball and he played in several basketball leagues in his youth. He is a fitness buff who works out regularly. He was born in California and raised in Waterford, Connecticut, and studied Film and Television at New York University’s famed Tisch School of the Arts.

Fun fact: Metcalfe is also an accomplished guitarist and poker player!
