Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Lucas Leaves Salem But Promises To Return Someday

After taking a series of breaks from Days of Our Lives, Bryan Dattilo who plays Lucas, is bidding the show goodbye again.

Lucas helped trim the Christmas tree after he broke the shocking news to everyone—he’s leaving Salem.

While spoilers did not reveal so much on Lucas’ reasons for leaving, previous episodes show that Lucas is bound for Europe to be with his daughter, Allie.

Recent spoilers confirm the same as it reveals that his son, Will, (Chandler Massey) reassures his dad that he understands his decision to leave the town and that he knows that his father needs to be in Europe for his sister. Lucas also expressed his happiness over Will and Sonny’s (Freddie Smith) reconciliation. The father and son even gave each other a warm hug and expressed how proud they are of each other. Will is surely going to miss his dad, and so would Lucas.

Lucas especially sends a farewell to his dear Kate (Lauren Koslow) and told her of his decision. He clarified to her that his daughter is in trouble and he just needed to be a father this time. Kate promised him that she would keep track on Will while he is away, for which Lucas is grateful for.

Lucas’ breaking announcement must have saddened both Kate and Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) so much that the two talked over Lucas’ departure over a bottle of wine. Chloe said she can’t be angry with Lucas’ decision as everyone knows he would do anything to support his children.

As everyone in Days of Our Lives is internalizing his sudden leaving, sad Lucas carries his bags and waits for a taxi. Spoilers reveal that Lucas gets emotional as he looks into the Horton plaque and utters, “I’ll be back. Someday.”
