Most royal experts have panned the new book, “Finding Freedom,” by co-authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand as a sugary sweet set of “Prince Harry and Meghan Markle apologetics.” In fact, the book is so one-sided and so pro Duke and Duchess of Sussex that Omid Scobie has earned the title of “Sussex Cheerleader.” As for “Finding Freedom” itself, well … Forbes.com tagged it as an “Insta-Book” and suggested that it was pushed out as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s “wattage wanes.”
In any case, the contents of “Finding Freedom” don’t sit well with the senior members of the British Royal Family such as Prince William, according to sources. Many have found the book to be nauseating in its “Rah!, Rah! Rah!” depiction of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Because of that, true fans of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle (like Omid Scobie) began a campaign to ensure “Finding Freedom” was pushed to the top on Amazon.com.
Meghan’s Fans Try to Scam Amazon
In an attempt to boost “Finding Freedom’s” ratings by voting on existing posts and leaving multiple positive reviews, Meghan Markle’s creepy groupies may have gone too far. It’s now been reported in multiple publications that Amazon has restricted reviews of the Sussex biography in order to counter the scammy behavior of Harry and Meghan’s fans.
Restrictions Made By Amazon On Prince Harry And Meghan Markle’s “biography” Now Include Who Can Actually Make Reviews.
Amazon’s notice concerning the restrictions reads as follows: “Amazon has noticed unusual reviewing activity on this product. Due to this activity, we have limited this product to verified purchase reviews.”
Apparently, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s fans believe that “haters” organized around an alternate attempt to bring down book sales and disparage the duke and duchess. As one fan explained, “There is an organized effort to leave bad reviews for Finding Freedom on Amazon and to mark hateful reviews as ‘helpful’ so they appear first.”
Another Tweeted out, “If you have time, please go rate the positive reviews. Please share, thanks.”

Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Lost Out On “Finding Freedom”
Some British commentators believe that Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand are actually the only people to come out on top when it comes to the publication of “Finding Freedom.” That’s because many who bought the book didn’t come away with a favorable view of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as perhaps Mr. Scobie and Ms. Durand intended.
Indeed, Katie Nicholl who wrote a piece in Vanity Fair, noted that “The irony of Finding Freedom is that, locked down in their rented mansion in LA, the Sussexes have less freedom than they did when they lived in Windsor.”
Meanwhile, outside the bubble within which Sussex fans, perhaps Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle themselves exist, views of the former senior Royals aren’t quite so rosy. Meghan Markle continues to be castigated (and some believe she deserves it) for consistently breaking with Royal tradition and involving herself in politics. Meghan’s standing in British courts is also in question, as her lawsuit against publications in the U.K. has hit multiple snags requiring the duchess to pay exorbitant fees.
One has to wonder if other, less biased authors will come along and write a “true biography” concerning the lives of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Britain’s Royal Rebels.
