In the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest, Telfer explained that Xander hopes that Victor sees his worth. However, his hopes are crushed when he announces that Philip and Xander will have to work together. The actor told the publication,

“… he does genuinely believe that he earned this. He’s like, ‘Hang on a minute. I’m legit now. I’ve jumped through all the hoops. The business is making money. I’ve patiently waited. I’m doing this job.’ It’s almost like a chess game of Xander hoping that Victor sees his value.”
