General Hospital Spoilers and Updates: Match Made In Hell - Cyrus Brings Dr Obrecht Back As Chief Of Staff Of GH?

ABC General Hospital spoilers and updates tease that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) has solved one hospital problem but in so doing he has created another. When he fired Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) as chief of staff, he enraged the employees. They saw this as a low form of betrayal and idiocy.

But he argued that it was necessary due to her actions bringing a lawsuit against the hospital. A potentially costly and damaging lawsuit. Cyrus has wiggled his way onto the board and is making all sorts of enemies and bad decisions since assuming the helm. Now that he has gotten rid of his “problem” what is his solution? Who will he hire as chief of staff?

General Hospital Spoilers – Liesl Obrecht Is Made Chief Of Staff Again?

Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) was once chief of staff and she brought tons of turmoil and angst to the halls at GH. Just like Cyrus! These two would get on like gangbusters given half a chance, don’t you think? She obviously has a thing for bad boys, as illustrated by her fascination and obsession with General Hospital Cesar Faison (Anders Hove).

General Hospital Spoilers – Will Liesl Want To Return To Work at GH?

Plus, Cyrus is proving to be a tyrant and a difficult boss. Those exact words were used to describe Liesl’s run at the top of the hospital food chain. These two could make beautiful music together as they speak the same language, that of intimidation and fear. Together the hospital staff would either shape up or ship out.

General Hospital spoilers – Cyrus Renault May Not Have Much Choice

The word has gotten out that Cyrus is an ill-tempered man and an even worse boss. Who in their right mind would want to work for him? That’s the beauty of having Liesl take the job, some would argue she’s not in her right mind!

Beggars can’t be choosers and in the case of filling the chief of staff job at GH, there may not be a lot of takers. But Liesl loved running the place and being in charge. Can’t you totally see her jumping at the chance to run roughshod over her minions once again?

She would be someone Cyrus could respect and trust because she’s just as distrusting and sneaky as he is. It sounds like a match made in heaven (hell?) to have these two in the top spots. What do you think GH fans, will Cyrus make Liesl an offer she can’t refuse?
