General Hospital News Update: Matt Cohen Talks Returning To Soaps And What He Doesn’t Miss

ABC General Hospital spoilers and updates reveal Griffin Munroe (Matt Cohen) left town some time ago after Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin) was killed. Since then, Matt has moved on to other things. However, Matt states that he is available for guest appearance if Frank Valentini were to ask.

General Hospital’s Griffin was involved in a huge storyline with Ava Cassadine (Maura West) and Kiki Jerome. Griffin loved Ava but she broke his heart. Griffin and Kiki slept together and that causes a huge roller coaster to fall out. Ava and her daughter were estranged for months before Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) brutally murdered her. After Kiki’s death, Griffin could not stay in Port Charles. However, he has returned for visits and is open to continue to do so.

GH Spoilers – Matt Munroe Has Been Busy Since Leaving GH

General Hospital’s Matt has been working steadily since he walked off the GH set. Matt scored a job as a correspondent on Entertainment Tonight where he is racking up hours. Matt has worked as a director with his wife Mandy Musgrave and on the CW’s Supernatural. Cohen has placed several characters on Supernatural and with the show ending soon, he expresses his gratitude to the executives and staff of Supernatural for giving him a home and a family and “a damn good time.”

As much as Matt misses his General Hospital friends and family, he makes it clear that he does not miss the “chaos that goes into making a serial program.” Of course, anyone who watching soap operas knows that they go through pages of dialogue a day. Soap operas tape scenes daily which can be a very tedious job. However, soap actors have to be some of the best actors in the business to pull off taping episodes daily because these shows are produced like no other.

GH Spoilers – Will Matt Munroe Return To General Hospital?

Although General Hospital’s Matt has no desire to return to soap operas on a permanent basis, he is open for visits. Unfortunately, he didn’t stop by for a visit to say goodbye to Mike Corbin (Max Gail). Griffin was the one who diagnosed Mike’s Alzheimer’s disease. Griffin would have been a great comfort to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his family.

There hasn’t been any announcement of a visit from Matt but Griffin’s fans certainly hope to see him drop in for a visit one day soon. Unfortunately, with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) as Chief of Staff and Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) as Chairman Of The Board, it’s doubtful that Griffin will be dropping by any time soon.
