WCTH fans remember when Jack and Elizabeth’s story got started. It wasn’t the usual romance at the beginning. In fact, Jack was angry because he figured out why he was sent to Hope Valley, to keep an eye on Elizabeth. The schoolteacher also wasn’t thrilled with her father sending her a secret babysitter. There was also the fact that Elizabeth was quite opinionated and gutsy for a woman of that time period. But, they eventually fell in love and it was a romance like no other.

When Jack tragically died in a landslide, fans were devastated. Jack and Elizabeth were not married for a very long time when it happened. There was also the fact that Elizabeth ended up not only being a young widow, but one raising a child by herself. Even though it’s been a few years since then, fans are still wanting Jack to come back somehow.

When Calls the Heart fans are divided on Elizabeth’s current romantic situation. She is involved in a love triangle. Some viewers are convinced that the right man for Elizabeth is Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry). Others think that she should pick Lucas Bouchard (Chris McNally). The love triangle has gone on for quite some time and is complicated. Hopefully, she will finally make a decision in season 8. However, there is a group of viewers who don’t want either man… they want Jack back.

However, other viewers admit they miss Jack, but have moved on and are willing to accept the newer cast members.

“Daniel Lissing chose to move on and isn’t coming back except for maybe in a flashback. We all need to move forward and enjoy our new characters and storylines.”
