The Young and the Restless spoilers and leaks reveal that since the CBS sudser has returned to the airwaves, not all fans are thrilled with the result. Our inside source at CBS spills that co-executive producer/head writer Josh Griffith is feeling the heat over The Young and The Restless fan sentiment that the couples on the show lack sizzle.
He talked about the show’s direction shortly after new episodes began to air this summer following the coronavirus pandemic production shutdown. Based on his preview, has he delivered what he promised in terms of the couple’s excitement, or should a fire be lit under his hyphenate?
The Young And The Restless Leak Highlights
In August Griffith spilled some preview excitement on what is ahead in Genoa City and at that time he dished about two love triangles and a mystery storyline that could maybe probably lead to love.
Specifically, Griffith spilled that there would be a wild thing happening between Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan), and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). What has transpired to date?
A lot of mush actually in terms of storytelling. In fact, the real heat wasn’t between Adam and one or both ladies, it was between the catfighting women!
The spiciest this story got was Chelsea warning Sharon off her man. Right now Adam isn’t having any interaction with either lady. For her part, Chelsea is a wet blanket moaning over Adam’s dark path while Sharon is getting hitched to Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso).
What Has Happened Between The Hot Couples To Date?
Griffith also divulged we should expect some serious heat between Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan), Billy Abbot (Jason Thompson), and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic). If what transpired was the heat, Y&R’s thermometer needs to be recalibrated.
To date, Nate has dumped Amanda before anything got started and Billy doesn’t seem to know Amanda exists.
What Should Fans Expect In The Near Future?
To be fair, there was later show chatter about storylines being switched up. Even so, any changeups haven’t resulted in anything resembling a bonfire. It now looks like Billy and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) are flirting and Adam is flirting with danger.
In conclusion, our source is spot on as usual. The show lacks any kind of sizzling couple’s chemistry at the moment; Phick getting it on for the umpteenth time does not count in any universe. Maybe the debut of sexy Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will bring flames?

Yes, some are Kyle,Summer Amanda,Devon. Need to move on. Sharon is fighting battle with Chelsa, that is not good. Lola needs to rid herself of Kyle. Let Summer have him. That want happen for him if he can"t say Lola"s name. We all know for Nick will be Chelsa and Phyllis now. Since he kicked Sharon to the curve. Rey needs to be gone, so does Adam. Some people are tired of same ones. We can say where the friends between Sharon and Nick needs to be put. I don"t like it. Really he might need her, the question will be will she help him? Most likely she will. He is what she needs to get better. Sharon knows what happened when she came home from the hospital he was with Phyllis. Same o same o. I guess it don"t hurt to put your feelings out here. The friends should have came with benefits. Messed up some good couples, with all the cheating. 1 day we might get a surprise when Sally comes to town things will change. 1 think to change show the women you have weak here, that are better than letting the men run all over them. Spice Sharon,Lola and Eleana with some good stories, then kick those men to the curve. They thing cause they are rich they can treat these women any o way.
The whole show is boring and has been for awhile; don't know what happened but I won't waste anymore..wish time!

Keep Phyllis and Nick on the friend wagon, like him and Sharon. See who cheats then. It"ll be just a matter of time. That was kinda crazy when it was said. After all the years together he wants to be friends, you remember what you and Phyllis put her through so Phyllis could have Nick. I say No. That was a low blow for Sharon. Who will Nick call on when gets down and out? The 1 he knows will help him. You messed a good love story up. Guess we will have to lean on Nikki and Victor now. They seem to be our last hopenow they are back together. If Nick doesn"t love Sharon why does he come back so much. I think he is just running and don"t want to admit he still loves her. You can tell by the way he looks at her. They love each other. They have a connection and it is not just their kids. That is why Phyllis trys to keep him away from Sharon.
Yes!! Devon with what might as well be Hillary again, it had got so old and boring the first time. Hillary's accident was a relief. Kyle and Summer have gone the same way. Please end that neverending story. Nick and Phyllis rediculous to the extreme, she had his family go to prison to save her own skin! She is a horrible person and looks like a man. I can't buy Nick would have wanted to go there again. Why can't this writer move on to something new for these characters. The actors must be sick and tired of doing the same scenarios year in and year out. I guess they don't have the worry of memorising their lines, same stories, same dialogue boring for them and for fans. It feels like I have been watching forever for characters to get new and better stories. Why has this writer brought characters back to replay stories that should have been over before they left. I actually respected these actors for leaving and now pity them for returning to act out the same old boring dross.
Just when I thoughtthe show Fcouldn't be any more boring….it is….. I fast forward through the majority of the show…now with the Abbey baby line…BORING. Faith drinking…boring. Amanda yelling at her bio mom…boring. Watching this show is like watching boring people at a boring party having boring conversations….

Nick and Phyllis, we see that there is one thing and one thing only, the bed room, which we are tired of seeing. That is how Phyllis keeps Nick around. They have no chemistry and are boring.
Summer, Amanda, Devon, Rey and Phyllis, time to go. Sharon and Nick belong together as does Adam and Chelsea.
WE are missing Victor and Nikki. They are the core here and have been out on the back burner for the likes of the ones that should be gone.
