ABC General Hospital and spoilers and recap for Monday, November 20202, kicks off in Port Charles, New York In today’s episode, General Hospital writers chose to use this election eve to educate women on the struggles of women’s suffrage.
General Hospital Spoilers – A Little Background Information
Jocelyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) travel back in time with the help of Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) and a magic candle. Jocelyn and Trina help to put things back on track for the 1920 presidential election back on track by getting Jocelyn’s great grandmother Beatrice could of jail. All of the General Hospital female cast members play their ancestors from the time.
GH Spoilers – Happy Birthday Jocelyn Jacks
General Hospital’s Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Bonnie Spencer (Jackie Zeman) yell Happy Birthday to Jocelyn. Jocelyn is eighteen today. Jocelyn needs to meet Trina at the Art Gallery. The historical society is setting up a display on women’s suffrage. Trina is ready to go vote. Jocelyn isn’t very concerned about voting. Bobbie tells Jocelyn about the election of 1920. Bobbie believes a lot of young people feel this way.
General Hospital Spoilers – The Air Is Palpitable At The Gallery
General Hospital’s Jordan Ashford (Brianna Nicole Henry) and Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) are left alone where they could argue after Trina’s comment about votes for police commissioner etc. Carly and Ava Jerome (Maura West) were rivals in 1920 as well. Before being arrested for leading the suffrage movement, Carly’s grandmother accidentally caused Ava’s character to fall. Liesel Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) is the jailer who was convinced that women didn’t need to vote. . Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is ironically the prohibition leader.
GH Spoilers – Monica Quartermaine Is Important In The Past Too
General Hospital’s Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleston) tries to get Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) to stop putting out candles. Monica is a woman named Mary who helps to get Jocelyn’s grandmother out of jail. Trina’s character claims Ava’s ancestor. “Mary” realizes Trina’s character is right about her throwing away her vote. Carly’s character thanks Ava’s character for her help. Carly’s character encourages women to cast their votes. Britt’s character tries to stop the ladies from voting. The women break the lock on the door so they can vote.
General Hospital Spoilers – Jocelyn Jacks And Trina Robinson’s Adventure Explained
General Hospital’s Jocelyn arrives and tells Trina the story about her grandmother. Trina mentions her aunt that did the same years ago. Trina says people protest so they could have their votes count. Trina tells Jocelyn that not voting assures that nothing changes. Jocelyn and Trina step into a booth and back in time. Trina tells Jocelyn they must be careful for they could mess up the future.
Trina meets her great aunt and talks to her about becoming a doctor. Trina learns of the struggle of black women as well. Everyone starts to go to the polling center when a problem arises. The polling place has been padlocked closed. The women proceed to vote as promised. Jocelyn and Trina realize they need to go into a booth so they can vote. Jocelyn is thrilled to have met her great grandmother. Jocelyn and Trina return to the present time. Lucy asks if the girls feel ok. Lucy proceeds to explain how the time candle works.

Lucy takes the candle and puts it away. Jocelyn and Trina write their trip off as Lucy’s fault. Carly and Bobbie arrive as Trina and Jocelyn are coming out of the polling place. Trina speaks to Ava there. Jocelyn tells Carly how voting felt. Carly says Jocelyn is so grown up. Carly says Jocely got a lot out of that research paper. Jocelyn and Trina tell Carly she has no idea. Everyone is encouraged to get out and vote.
