DOOL spoilers reveal that Lani and Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) were horrified and stunned when Kristen stormed into the DA’s office. Lani (Sal Stowers) was so close to getting Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) to show Kristen leniency. Kristen’s confession was sudden and unexpected. In fact, until that moment, Kristen was determined to fight the criminal charges.

Ever since then, Lani was repeatedly questioned why Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) abruptly changed her mind. What could have happened that would lead her to confess? She stood a decent chance of getting off or at the very least, having a light sentence. Lani has brought this up often with Eli, who still hasn’t told her the truth.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Lani will confront her husband about his deception. She will be furious and feels completely betrayed. Eli should be the one person that Lani can trust completely. But in her mind, Eli has lied and kept secrets. He went behind her back and used private conversations to his advantage. He tricked Kristen into confessing so he could secretly record it.

Now, fans know that Eli’s heart is in the right place. Melinda was determined to make someone pay for the crime. It was either going to be Kristen or Lani, who is pregnant with twins. He hasn’t told Lani the truth yet because he worries about their unborn twins. “Elani” lost one baby already and this pregnancy is high-risk. So, Eli is only trying to protect his wife, as well as the lives of his two children.

It seems that there will always be a tug-of-war between Eli and Kristen. Even though Kristen actually helped reunite “Elani,” something is going to give. Lani might end up being forced to choose between her husband and best friend. Now, family always comes first and Kristen doesn’t exactly have the noblest history.

But Lani is extremely loyal to her BFF. She has gone to extremes in order to protect Kristen. This friendship is very unhealthy, obsessive, toxic, and perhaps even dangerous. It’s forced to choose, Lani would keep the person she values and loves the most. Unfortunately, that person isn’t Eli.
