The Move to the Cotswolds
Ellen, once deeply admired and loved, continued comedy after things went bad and she did a Netflix show. In it, she basically told her haters to get lost, in no uncertain terms. She and her wife, Portia de Rossi, seemed happy enough in The Cotswolds, despite rumors that their home flooded.
They did take some trips to Africa, which they both enjoyed. Later, people heard the news that Ellen DeGeneres had listed and sold her Montecito home for a very nice profit. So, it looked like they planned to permanently stay in the UK.
New Real Estate Moves
New news by The New York Post this week suggests that Ellen and Portia might plan a return to the USA. On January 12, the outlet reported that:

DeGeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi, closed on the California home in late November through a trust long associated with the comedian’s real-estate holdings, according to Realtor.com.
Interstingly, it costs $27.4 million and is also in Montecito where she previously lived. The news comes about a year since their departure for their nice rural UK home. Initially, they did claim that they would stay for part of each year. So, perhaps it shouldn’t be a big surprise if they purchased a new place stateside.
