Anita Dupree Shares Her Diagnosis

Beyond the Gates spoilers for the week of December 29-January 2 imply that Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie) will tell the family about her breast cancer diagnosis.

Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley) and Nicole Dupree (Daphnee Duplaix) will be the first to find out, and as the days go by, their grandchildren, Katherine “Kat” Richardson (Colby Natasha Nixon), Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon), Chelsea Hamilton (RhonniRose Mantilla), and Naomi Hawthorne (Arielle Prepetit) will be brought into the loop.

There will be a ton of emotional moments as the family struggles to digest the news, so BTG fans should stock up on some tissues and have them by their side over the next five days.

The Duprees Reel

In an interesting Beyond the Gates spoiler, the news about Anita will cause Kat and Martin to clash. This should bring the siblings closer, but for some reason, they’ll be on opposite sides of the fence.

Meanwhile, there will be a confrontation between Dani, Bill Hamilton (Timon Durrett), and Hayley Hamilton (Marquita Goings) as Dani tries to tell Bill about Anita’s condition. Regardless, Bill will find out and eventually visit Anita to offer some unsolicited advice.

In other Kat news, she’ll decide to hide something from Tomas Navarro (Alex Alegria). What could this be about?

New Year’s Eve Celebrations

Beyond the Gates spoilers for the week of December 29-January 2, note that Fairmont Crest will have a plethora of New Year’s Eve celebrations to usher in 2026. There will be one at the country club, as well as Uptown, and Orphey Gene’s.

In fact, R&B singer Kenny Lattimore will perform at Uptown during the Tuesday, December 30 episode for NYE, so fans can look forward to hearing some of his top hits.

In addition, Shanice Johnson (Ernestine Johnson) and Ted Richardson (Keith D. Robinson) will ring in the new year at Orphey Gene’s and share a kiss at midnight. With that said, will they also hit the sheets?

During the week of January 5-9, Ted will shock one of his daughters, but it’s unclear which daughter it will be. Could either Kat or Eva Thomas (Ambyr Michelle) catch Ted in a compromising position with Shanice?

Leslie Thomas’s Proposal

Across town, Leslie Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant) will shock Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom) when she presents a proposal. If these two partnered up, just how much trouble could they cause? Plenty!

Speaking of Leslie, fans can expect her and Detective Malone to get hot and heavy during the week of January 5-9. The Season 2 preview shows the two in many scenes together, kissing and canoodling, as well as a clip of them in bed.

Speaking of the Season 2 promo, Jordi Vilasuso also appears in a scene for a nano-second and is very close to Ashley Morgan (Jen Jacob) at Uptown.

It looks like his character will be the nurse’s new love interest, so there’s a good chance fans see Vilasuso’s debut sometime during the week of January 5-9, or soon after that. It’s important to note that BTG’s Season 2 officially begins on Friday, January 2.
