Beyond The Gates Bill Blackmails The Duprees Into Convincing Naomi To Drop The Lawsuit

Beyond The Gates spoilers indicate that Naomi Hawthorne (Arielle Prepetit) is taking on a lawsuit against her father, Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett)’s law firm.

After meeting with several women who were having issues with Bill’s partner, Mike Davis (Pierce Lackey), who has been sexually harassing them.

One of the women was even turned down for a promotion because she wouldn’t go out with Mike. After the woman went to human resources, they were soon fired.

Bill simply looked the other way regarding this, because Mike is not only his partner, but best friend. Naomi was toying with the idea of taking on the lawsuit with her husband, Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges). It is only a matter of time before Naomi decides to go up against her father, and take on the lawsuit.

Naomi Hawthorne Versus Bill Hamilton

When Naomi takes on the lawsuit, Bill will be shocked that his own daughter is going up against him. Naomi will tell him that what Mike did is wrong, and the women she is defending have every right to sue.

Bill will want to stand by his law firm partner and best friend, Mike and do whatever he has to do to protect their practice.

Bill would tell Naomi to drop the suit as he won’t have his own daughter against him, and she would of course refuse.

Naomi is not happy with her father right now, and does not agree with the choices he made, including leaving her mother, Dani Dupree (Karla Mosely) for Naomi’s best friend, Hayley Lawson-Hamilton (Marquita Goings). Naomi is also starting to realize what kind of man her father really is- manipulative and deceitful.

Bill Hamilton Will Use His Leverage On Martin Richardson

In order to ensure that the entire Dupree family showed up at his and Hayley’s wedding, Bill blackmailed Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis) and Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie) with his knowledge of Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon)’s secret.

There is no reason to believe that he wouldn’t use the same leverage in order to implore Vernon and Anita to force Naomi to remove herself from the case, or drop the lawsuit entirely.

Vernon and Anita have said that they need to protect Martin at all costs, and would have a lot of work to do, as convincing Naomi would be a very hard task in itself.

Naomi Hawthorne Will Not Understand

Naomi will be confused, nor will she be pleased by Vernon and Anita’s decree that she should remove herself from the lawsuit, and/or drop it. She would question their motives, and quickly deduce that Bill got to them somehow.

Naomi may be forced to do what Bill wants at the urging of her grandparents. Naomi would be livid as she really wanted to help these women, and now Bill has gotten what he wanted yet again.

This would intensify her strained relationship with her father, and would cause even more friction between them.
