    Beyond The Gates’ Cast & Crew Celebrate First Public Screening Days Before DebutSoap fans are days away from the big premiere of Beyond the Gates (BTG), the first daytime drama to debut on television in over 25 years!

    The cast and crew of the new soap are on a massive publicity tour, promoting the new show that is set to air on CBS, Monday, February 24 at 2 p.m. ET.

    The show recently celebrated its very first public screening, as well as a post-viewing panel discussion, at SCAD TVFest. More details on this are below.

    BTG’s First-Ever Public Screening at SCAD TVFest Event

    SCAD TVFest is an event that showcases the latest in innovation and creativity where TV, streaming, and digital projects are concerned.

    Taking place this past February 5 to 7, in Atlanta (the same city BTG films in), the organizers included the new soap in their spotlights by offering the show its first-ever public screening.

    In addition, Jamie Broadnax, editor and chief of Black Girl Nerds, hosted a post-viewing discussion.

    Panelist included Sheila Duckworth, BTG’s executive producer and president of CBS Studios/NAACP venture, as well as a few cast members of the new daytime drama, Clifton Davis (Vernon Dupree), Daphnée Duplaix (Dr. Nicole Dupree Richardson), and Karla Mosley (Dani Dupree).

    The Excitement Is Building

    Of course, the excitement continues to build for the soap’s debut, and this first screening was a moment that many within the show celebrated. Duckworth posted some photos on X, with the
    caption, “Our very first screening.

    Thank you for having us SCAD TV FEST” tagging creator Michele Val Jean on the post, while also hash-tagging ‘Beyond The Gates 022425’.

    In addition, Mosley posted a number of photos from the SCAD TVFest event on her Instagram. The first one was of her, along with BTG co-stars Davis and Duplaix, with the second a photo of just her and Duplaix.

    The third IG pic was of Mosley with Duckworth, and there was also one of BTG’s post-panel discussion, and a photo of other co-stars, Lauren Buglioli (Vanessa McBride) and Sean Freeman (Andre Richardson) at the event, posing in front of a BTG poster.

    Mosley’s IG caption read, “Our first public screening @scadtvfest last night!!!! Thanks so much for having us! And shoutout to Jamie Broadnax from @blackgirlnerds for hosting a dope post-viewing discussion.”

    It looks like fun was had by all, as both fans and the BTG cast, and crew draw closer to the show’s debut!
