Beyond the Gates spoilers for the week of February 23-27 reveal that Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie) will decide to go public with her breast cancer condition, and she’ll do so on a massive platform.

The BTG preview shows Anita announcing she has breast cancer to the CBS Mornings host, Gayle King, on a talk show stage.

King is not only the co-host of CBS Mornings but also an author, a CBS News broadcast journalist, and editor for Oprah Daily.

2 Character Returns

Meanwhile, during the Friday, February 20 episode, Samantha Richardson (Najah Jackson) complained to her grandmother, Nicole Dupree (Daphnee Duplaix), and family friend, Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli), that she didn’t have a plus-one to the cotillion.

Vanessa had an idea to help by asking her son, Donnell McBride, to be Samantha’s date. Donnell will accept the role and is slated to return to the canvas during the week of February 23, as Alex Cheeks reprises the role.

Speaking of Donnell, he’ll share scenes with Samantha, along with her rival, newcomer to storylines, Francesca Belleclaire, played by Madison Alsobrook.

In addition to Donnell’s return, Laura Peterson’s name is brought up in this week’s spoilers, so there’s a good chance that fans will see her, as Destiny Love will hopefully reprise the role.
