Beyond The Gates Comings & Goings March 24-28: Maurice Johnson OUT As Ted Richardson, New Shady Character

Maurice Johnson Is Exiting Soap

Actor Maurice Johnson, who was originally cast as Ted Richardson, is leaving Beyond the Gates.

While a final air date has not been announced for Maurice, actor Keith D. Robinson is taking over the role and is slated to debut sometime in May. Stay tuned to the website for more details as they trickle down the pipe.

Ted is a fairly major character as the husband of Nicole Dupree Richardson (Daphnée Duplaix). He’s also locked in a key storyline right now, along with former flame Dana “Leslie” Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant) who is scheming to expose their past affair.

On top of all that, his biological daughter, Eva Thomas (Ambyr Michelle) has been planted as the family’s temporary assistant, gathering intel for Leslie so her plan can be executed flawlessly.

Shady Lawyer Enters the Canvas

Across town, Beyond the Gates fans were introduced to the character “Mike Davis” on the Tuesday, March 18 show as an inappropriate partner who works at Bill Hamilton’s (Timon Durrett) firm. Actor Pierce Lackey plays the sketchy lawyer, who seems to have no issues crossing lines at work.

In fact, it’s because of this outrageous professional behavior that Naomi Hamilton Hawthorne (Arielle Prepetit) was approached by Becky and two other former colleagues at Bill’s firm.

Becky, played by Regina Ting Chen, leads the pack of disgruntled former employees at the firm who want to sue Bill and are asking Naomi to represent them.

Naomi seemed excited to take over the case, but at the same time, she needed to think things over. It sounds like she’ll have her answer for the ladies, this week.
