Welcome To Fairmont Crest, Darlene Hawthorne!

Beyond the Gates fans were excited during the week of March 23, when they finally got to meet the Hawthorne matriarch, Darlene Hawthorne, played by Monique Mosee. Viewers had heard a lot about Darlene for about a year now, but no one had seen her.

The wife of Police Chief Elon Hawthorne (Malachi Malik), as well as the mom to Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges), Izaiah Hawthorne (Lami), and Luke Hawthorne (yet to be cast), made her debut on Thursday, March 26, when she met up with Izaiah at the Orphey Genes diner.

Holliday Easter Fun

Singer and Broadway star Jennifer Holliday is slated to appear on the Friday, April 3 episode. She’s set to entertain everyone at the Fairmont Crest country club during Easter brunch festivities.

The Grammy and Tony winner lives in Atlanta, Georgia, where the CBS soap shoots, so it was probably rather easy for her to hop on set to film scenes.

Additional Casting Notes

The love triangle between Nicole Dupree (Daphnee Duplaix) and “her men” will continue, as Dr. Carlton Fitzgerald, played by Robert Christopher Riley, and Dr. Kial Rollins, played by Greg Vaughan, are seen during the week of March 30.

Carlton will have a double date that goes very wrong with Nicole, Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom), and Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli) on Wednesday, April 1. In addition, Carlton will rub Nicole the wrong way during the Thursday, April 2 show.

Meanwhile, Kial will be invited to the Dupree Easter brunch on the April 3 episode. Speaking of said Easter brunch, Timeca Siretti’s character, Anastasia Belleclaire, will also be at the country club, as Anita puts the town gossip in her place.

Donnell McBride, played by Alex Cheeks, will be seen during the April 1 show, as well, as the character opens up to Kat Richardson (Colby Natasha Nixon).
