Welcome To The DMV, Jenny Smith!

Beyond the Gates spoilers confirm that actress Jennifer Van Horn made her debut on the CBS soap last week.

During the Wednesday, October 21 show, Jenny Smith, Bradley “Smitty” Smith’s (Mike Manning) mom, arrived at his home.

Smitty’s mom wanted to offer her son some support amid his charges in connection with Lia Whitmore’s (Cecelia Specht) passing.

As previously reported, Smitty’s legal troubles have rocked the Richardson-Smith family, so Jenny’s arrival couldn’t have come at a more important time.

Unfortunately, Smitty’s dad opted to stay in Ohio this time around, so fans were only introduced to Jenny.

Van Horn is no stranger to the land of daytime drama, previously having a short run on All My Children (AMC).

Fan Favorites Return

The Articulettes will have another fun reunion during the week of October 26!

After Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie) gets some exciting career news, she’ll fill in her fellow bandmates, Sharon Winger, played by Bonita Brisker, and Tracy Tyler, played by Maria Howell.

Fans already know that Anita’s music career with the Articulettes will face some obstacles this fall, so it’ll be interesting to see what this latest opportunity means for the group.

Anita learns about this new opportunity during the Tuesday, October 27 episode and will talk to Sharon and Tracy about it on the Wednesday, October 28 show.

More Casting News

Beyond the Gates spoilers for the week of October 26 note that some recurring players fans don’t often see on the canvas will be on screen.

During the Monday, October 26 episode, Naomi Hawthorne (Arielle Prepetit) will turn to Grayson Perez for intel, so Jordi Vilasuso will get more airtime.

Grayson was involved in the red-market plasma ring, so he may have some valuable insight that Naomi can use.

As recent Monday spoilers reveal, Naomi hopes Grayson can provide information that may help clear Smitty’s name.

Plus, Samantha Richardson-Smith will pop back into storylines, as Najah Jackson will return in the days ahead.

On the October 28 episode, the young girl will have a heart-to-heart with Smitty.

Annemarie’s Take

I’m happy to see Smitty’s mother arrive because that poor man certainly needs all the support he can get right now!

I just hope Jenny can help him through this nightmare. I’m also looking forward to seeing the Articulettes together again. I love when the show gives Anita and her friends some time in the spotlight!

And I’m especially curious about what Grayson knows. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if Naomi finally found something that could help prove Smitty’s innocence? I think it’s about time he caught a break!
