Michele Val Jean, BTG’s creator, recently shared a surreal moment with fans as the daytime drama’s debut quickly approaches.
Michele Val Jean Shares a First
Val Jean hopped on the social media platform, X, and uploaded an interesting photo. It was a pic of her television’s DVR as she scheduled the taping of BTG’s first episode, which takes place Monday, February 24 at 2 p.m. ET on CBS.
The caption read, “So here’s a first. Setting my own show to record #surreal #BeyondTheGates #BTG #Feb24”
It’s important to note that Val Jean isn’t only BTG’s creator, but she’s also the head writer of the soap and one of the executive producers.

With that said, fans don’t need to wait a whole week to get a taste of what’s to come behind the gates of Fairmont Crest!
After all, CBS announced its plans to air ‘Beyond the Gates: Welcome to the Neighborhood’, a week-long event offering fans an introduction to the soap.
The five-part series is slated to air from Monday, February 17 through Friday, February 21 at 2:00-2:30 p.m. ET, and will be hosted by the ‘Entertainment Tonight’ team.
Each 30-minute episode will highlight a behind-the-scenes look at the new show, providing insight into the characters, storylines, and offering exclusive interviews with BTG’s executive team and actors/actresses that make up the new daytime drama.
In addition, the preview series will profile yet-to-be-seen footage like the cast’s first table read!

After each ‘Welcome to the Neighborhood’ episode, CBS has stated that the Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) will air ‘classic’ episodes in the 2:30-3:00 p.m. timeslot. This is in addition to Bold’s regularly scheduled time of 1:30-2:00 p.m. ET, airing brand-new shows.
