Beyond the Gates’ Executive Producers Tease Hot New Male Cast Member, Who’s Familiar To “Longtime Soap Fans”

Beyond the Gates spoilers remind fans that the new CBS soap recently celebrated a major milestone: 100 episodes to date! Michele Val Jean, creator, head writer, and executive producer, along with the show’s other EP, Sheila Ducksworth, had an interview with Deadline, talking about the daytime drama’s success, as well as hinting at a new hot male cast member, who will also be familiar to longtime fans.

A New Cast Member Is Set To Debut

During the Deadline interview, Ducksworth and Val Jean hinted at a new addition to the cast when asked by the interviewer.

The information the ladies provided was that they believe this new cast member will make the soap world ‘… very, very happy’; that the actor is male, and he’s ‘hot’.

In addition, while Ducksworth couldn’t say who this new addition is, she did say that, “… longtime soap fans all know and love him!” Let the speculation begin!

Val Jean revealed that The Articulettes reunion performance, which has placed Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie), Tracy Tyler (Maria Howell), and Sharon Winger (Bonita Brisker) in the spotlight, will take place on Friday, August 1, and Monday, August 4.

In addition, Ducksworth also noted that The Real Housewives of the Potomac stars, Dr. Wendy Osefo and Gizelle Bryant, were on the BTG set for a day and have some “super fun” scenes on the horizon that she couldn’t wait to share with fans.

The Ted Richardson recast was also mentioned when Keith D. Robinson replaced fan favorite Maurice Johnson.

Val Jean noted in the interview, “I did not respond to any of it because it’s a personal matter to the show and to the actor, and it’s really not my place to comment on it, so I just didn’t say anything. People were very upset, but what can I say? What can you say? Sometimes changes get made.”
