Beyond the Gates Hayley’s True Intentions – Clueless or Did She Purposely Steal Bill From Dani?

Beyond the Gates (BTG) spoilers indicate the debut episode was explosive on all accounts. Fans got to meet The Dupree family, and a focus of the show was the storyline unraveling between Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley), her ex-husband Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett), and his mistress-turned-fiancé (soon-to-be wifey), Hayley Lawson (Marquita Goings).

Dani is rightfully still hurting over the betrayal of her husband, but it’s important to note that Hayley wasn’t only one of her daughter’s best friends, but a girl that the Hamilton ladies welcomed into their home and the fold, as she was an orphan. Dani had a strong bond with Hayley, which leads many fans to wonder, what were her intentions.

Hayley Seems Clueless – But Is She?

Hayley is the BFF to Naomi Hamilton Hawthorne (Arielle Prepetit) the eldest daughter of Bill and Dani. There’s got to be a massive ick factor going on for Naomi, watching her dad get with her bestie.

Still, it was also mentioned that Dani was the one who encouraged Bill to hire Hayley as his assistant at his firm, which is when the two began their affair.

During a scene with realtor, Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli), as the woman was showing Hayley her new home, the young bride noted she and Bill didn’t plan on falling in love – it just happened.

When Vanessa made it clear that Hayley had an uphill battle when it came to gaining acceptance within the community, she seemed adamant that people would – sooner or later – see that her intentions were genuine.

Hayley even approached Dani at the country club, begging to make amends, considering their past closeness, which Dani was not open to for obvious reasons.

Hayley almost seems clueless. She broke up her friend’s 35-year marriage and is now flaunting it by not only getting married at Fairmont Crest’s country club but also buying a house in the very community Dani and her family reside in. She’s either stupid or highly manipulative – there can be no in-between!

Is This All An Act?

It does seem like Bill will end up being BTG’s villain. Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie), Dani’s mom, mentioned how she never liked Bill, and it was also stated that he had cheated on Dani multiple times during their marriage – Hayley was just the first woman he actually left Dani for.

So, is Hayley being manipulated by Bill, or is she the manipulator? Could this betrayal be an act of jealousy for countless years of Dani and Naomi flaunting their wealth in front of her? There seems to be far more to this story than meets the eye!
