The McBrides’ Marriage Is On The Rocks
Beyond the Gates spoilers remind fans that Vanessa and Doug McBride’s (Jason Graham) marriage has its fair share of issues.
Not only does Doug have a gambling addiction, which has created a wedge in their relationship, but Vanessa has a roster of men she turns to due to the lack of attention that she receives from her husband.
On top of all that, Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom) has been gunning for the couple, as he wants to use Vanessa’s real estate firm to funnel his money laundering activities. With that said, Vanessa and Doug reconnected recently and even hopped into bed together.
Fans haven’t seen any sparks or indication that there was love between the McBrides, so it was nice to witness some love and genuine dialogue between the two.

Lauren Buglioli’s ‘Appreciation’ Post
The interaction between the McBrides recently showed BTG fans that they care for each other.
Actress Lauren Buglioli (Vanessa) hopped on Instagram and uploaded a post with a series of photos and clips, applauding the storyline and scenes she shared with Jason Graham.
In the caption, Buglioli wrote, “ [Jason Graham] & #BTG fam appreciation post‼️This scene was a big one for Doug and Vanessa.”
The actress goes on to say, “Our writers on [Beyond The Gates] are gifting us with incredible material. If we’re lucky, perhaps we’ll make the audience understand…#messymcbrides *here for the #NastyNessa nickname tho.”

Luglioli also noted, “Jason, a true #MVP, even wiped off the lipstick I accidentally smeared all over my face like the top shelf fictional husband and scene partner that he is .”
