‘Beyond The Gates’ May Sweeps Preview: Cotillion Drama, Smitty’s Shocking Intel, Samantha’s Staircase Disaster

Beyond the Gates spoilers hint that the CBS soap just released a preview video for the May Sweeps, and there are some major moments to look forward to. Find out about all the drama set to unravel in the land of Fairmont Crest this month, down below.  

Time For A Par-Tay!

The Beyond the Gates May Sweeps promo is all about the cotillion! The Dupree family has been gearing up for this big gala for months now, and the proverbial drama surrounding this party will hit the fan in the days and weeks ahead.

The video starts with Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley) all dolled up in a beautiful baby blue gown, with a glass of champagne in her hand. She has a huge smile on her face as she declares, “The cotillion is here!”

As scenes shift, all the Dupree cousins are glammed up as they scream, “yay!” Naomi Hawthorne (Arielle Prepetit) is in a gold gown, while Katherine “Kat” Richardson (Colby Natasha Nixon) is wearing a white number, and Chelsea Hamilton (RhonniRose Mantilla) is pretty in pink (with gloves on).

Say, Cheese!

Out of nowhere, Andre Richardson (Sean Freeman) has a camera and starts snapping shots. Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon) and Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis) are behind him.

It looks like Andre is the official photographer of the event, so he’ll capture the good, bad, and the ugly during the gala.

As the promo progresses, Samantha Richardson-Smith (Najah Jackson) is at the top of the stairs in the Dupree mansion. The Duprees have all gathered at the bottom, including Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie), to watch young Samantha walk down the steps in her white, strapless gown.

She looks incredible, but nervous, so will she make it down the steps without a hitch, or will disaster strike?

Smitty Smith Is Stressed

As the Beyond the Gates May Sweeps preview comes to an end, there’s a clip of Bradley “Smitty” Smith (Mike Manning) staring down at his phone.

As he looks up, he’s got a very worried look on his face. Is this about the plasma ring case? Will he get some concerning intel during the cotillion?

The last shot is of Anita, toasting her champagne glass with Naomi, Chelsea, and someone else (likely Kat). She’s got a huge grin on her face as she looks forward to the party of the year!
