Bill Hamilton’s Condition
The Beyond the Gates promo starts with Ted Richardson (Keith D. Robinson) and Katherine “Kat” Richardson (Colby Natasha Nixon) at the hospital. He asks how the cousins are holding up.
He’s talking about Chelsea Hamilton (RhonniRose Mantilla) and Naomi Hawthorne (Arielle Prepetit), as Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett) collapsed during the Friday, August 7 episode. Bill will land in the hospital, so everyone will be on edge!
Kat tells Ted they aren’t holding up well.
Chelsea Hamilton’s Worry
Kat goes on to say that Chelsea is unravelling. A clip is then shown of Chelsea at the hospital in the waiting room. She wonders if her dad will ever regain consciousness and if her mom, Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley), will never get a chance to say goodbye to him.

Then the scene flips back to Kat and Ted, as she tells him that Naomi is lawyer-ing her anxiety. A clip is then shown of Naomi and Tomas Navarro (Alex Alegria) at the law firm. Tomas and Naomi are fighting as he tells her that, “Bill’s not even gone yet and you are here marking your territory!” She snaps back with, “What the he!! did you just say to me?”
Dani Dupree’s Husband Blunder
As the Beyond the Gates preview wraps up, Kat then tells Ted, “Don’t get me started on Aunt Dani!” A clip hits the screen of Dani, surrounded by the Duprees as she lashes out at Hayley Hamilton (Marquita Goings). Dani snaps at Hayley by saying, “You will never replace me in Bill’s heart.”
She goes on to say, “And I will always be here for my husband!” Everyone around Dani is stunned that she referred to Bill as her husband, considering they are divorced and she’s married to Andre Richardson (Sean Freeman)!
