‘Beyond The Gates’ Preview Week of February 23: Tomas Rejects Kat, Izaiah’s Sketchiness, Major Guest Star

Beyond the Gates spoilers indicate the CBS daytime drama just released its preview video for the week of February 23-27, and there are some massive bombshells to brace for. Find out about all the drama set to unravel over the next five days, below.  

Tomas Navarro Rejects Kat Richardson

The Beyond the Gates preview opens with a scene between Tomas Navarro (Alex Alegria) and Katherine “Kat” Richardson (Colby Natasha Nixon) at Uptown.

Kat asks Tomas, “Are you down with us shacking up?” The lawyer replies, “Because I’m your only option? Nnnooo.” Yikes, how’s Kat going to take Tomas’s rejection, and is he being serious?

As scenes shift within the promo, Anastasia Belleclaire’s (Timeca Seretti) granddaughter, Francesca Belleclaire (Madison Alsobrook), is shown next at Orphey Gene’s.

The two are at the counter when she tells Samantha Richardson (Najah Jackson), “No wonder you can’t find a date,” with a smug look on her face. Then, much to her surprise, Donnell McBride (Alex Cheeks) walks in as he apologizes to Samantha for being late.

Francesca eyes Donnell up and down with amazement as he hugs Samantha. Will Samantha and Donnell feel sparks, or hit the friends’ zone? Fans will have to tune in to find out!

Izaiah Hawthorne’s Sketchiness

Speaking of Orphey Gene’s, the Beyond the Gates preview for the week of February 23 has Leslie Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant) and Eva Thomas (Ambyr Michelle) talking at another booth in the diner.

Leslie tells Eva that she’s going to show her how real business is done and warns her to “Watch and learn,” as her daughter sarcastically nods her head. What’s this about?

Meanwhile, Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges) will spot Izaiah Hawthorne (David Lami Friebe) in a sketchy alley – the same one where he had a meeting with a thug recently. Jacob asks Izaiah what he’s doing there, and Izaiah retorts, “I could ask you the same thing.”

As the promo continues, Hayley Hamilton (Marquita Goings) is with Randy Parker (Maurice P. Kerry) at Uptown. The two are at a table as Hayley exclaims, “This man is not a threat to anyone,” as she looks down at a photo on her phone.

Randy replies, “Better him than you!” Who is Randy going to throw under the bus? It looks like he’s going to pretend to have evidence on someone in town as Hayley’s mugger. Could that photo be of Izaiah?

Anita Dupree Goes Public

As the BTG preview video wraps up, Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie) is in her living room with her daughters, Nicole Dupree (Daphnee Duplaix) and Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley), as she informs them that she is going public with her breast cancer diagnosis. Both ladies looked stunned.

In a nice surprise, the video wraps up with Anita on a talk show stage, chatting to CBS Morning co-host Gayle King. Anita tells the woman that just before Christmas, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, so it looks like next week, the entire world will know what Anita is battling.
