TomKat Over?

Beyond the Gates’ promo for the week of September 28-October 2 opens with a clip between Izaiah Hawthorne (Lami) and Katherine “Kat” Richardson (Colby Natasha Nixon).

Izaiah asks Kat, “Did you stick it out with Tomas because you genuinely love him, or was your pride tied up in making the relationship work?”

Kat has been having major problems with Tomas lately, so could this be the beginning of the end for TomKat?

Vanessa McBride Is Ambushed

Over at the hospital, Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom) is with Vanessa, who is clearly shaken.

Vanessa tells Joey, “This wasn’t random … I was targeted!” Nicole is next to the couple as she interrupts with, “When are you going to admit that you can’t keep Vanessa safe!” Joey sternly replies by saying the person responsible will be dealt with accordingly.

Could Heather be behind Vanessa’s ambush? She’s shown in the preview next, telling one of her cronies, “Vanessa is one very lucky girl, but you know what they say: luck does have a habit of running out.”

Heather better watch her step, as Joey isn’t someone that should be messed with! How will he strike back?

Bill Hamilton’s Warning

As the Beyond the Gates promo continues, Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett) is in his hospital bed, and Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie) as come for a visit. Anita gently declares, “You destroyed your family once, don’t do it again.”

Meanwhile, Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis) gets a visit from Elon Hawthorne (Malachi Malik). The chief of police warns Vernon that they’ve got a situation on their hands. What’s this about?

Hayley Hamilton’s Blackmail

As the preview wraps up, Bill is with Chelsea Hamilton (RhonniRosee Mantilla) at the law firm. The young woman presses her dad by noting, “She’s got something on you, doesn’t she?”

Bill says, “Hey, don’t start coming up with conspiracies to explain something you don’t understand.”

The last clip shows Bill in his office, grabbing a photo of him and Hayley as he throws it to the ground in a rage of fury. Will Hayley Hamilton (Marquita Goings) blackmail the man into dropping the charges, and more?
