Beyond the Gates will be airing a repeat episode on Monday, September 7, due to the Labor Day holiday. The CBS soap will resume regular programming as of Tuesday, September 8.
Ted Richardson Rejected
Beyond the Gates’ promo for the week of September 7-11 opens at the Fairmont Crest Country Club.
Ted Richardson (Keith D. Robinson) is about to sit at a table with two gentlemen – Shanice Johnson (Ernestine Johnson) brothers – when one of them rudely states that no one asked him to sit with them.
Ted questions what he means when the other man pipes up and states, “You heard what my brother said; you’re not welcome here.” Yikes!

Fans can expect to see the debut of Denzell Dandridge, who plays Lamont Johnson, while Khiry Walker is Cedric Johnson on the Tuesday, September 8 episode as the two men officially enter storylines. Still, it looks like Ted’s blown their meeting, even before it started!
Leslie Thomas’ Ambush
As scenes shift, Leslie Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant) enters Anita Dupree’s (Tamara Tunie) home, along with Eva Thomas (Ambyr Michelle) and Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis).
Anita demands to know what Leslie wants, and the woman snaps back, telling her not to get testy, and they’ll just be a minute. Can the women resolve their differences so that Barbara Mitchell’s voice makes it on the next Articulettes’ album?
Meanwhile, Heather Armstrong (Ashley Jones) is at Orphey Genes when she runs into Nicole Dupree (Daphnee Duplaix) with her grandchildren, Samantha Richardson-Smith (Najah Jackson) and Tyrell Richardson-Smith (Jaden Lucas Miller). Heather fawns over Samantha and Tyrell, but Nicole doesn’t seem pleased.

In fact, the next clip shows Nicole with Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom) and Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli) warning the casino owner to keep his sister away from her grandchildren. Yikes, it doesn’t look like Nicole is falling for Heather’s ‘nice girl’ act!
Old Habits Die Hard
Over in Seoul, Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley) is flirting with Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett) over text. Dani lets out a laugh, which is when Andre Richardson (Sean Freeman) notices and asks what’s so funny.
As the Beyond the Gates preview wraps up, the final scene is between Bradley “Smitty” Smith (Mike Manning), Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges), and Naomi Hawthorne (Arielle Prepetit). It appears that Naomi is acting as Smitty’s lawyer, as Jacob asks the man some questions.
Smitty stops Jacob for a moment and points out that the questions he’s asking him, he would ask a suspect. He then asks if Lia Whitmore’s (Cecelia Specht) death is now a murder investigation. Could Smitty be a suspect in this?
