The Momentum Continues
Beyond the Gates is currently in its second season and celebrated its one-year anniversary this past February 24.
As CBS has renewed the daytime drama’s contract for seasons 3 and 4, fans can rest assured that the show will remain on air until the 2027-2028 broadcasting year.
According to Deadline, the good news broke during a media briefing that took place on Wednesday, April 15.
CBS Entertainment’s President, Amy Reisenbach, had this to say about the network’s youngest soap: “Beyond the Gates immediately improved the time period, has enthusiastically been embraced by the daytime community, and is getting good critical acclaim in the press.”

Beyond The Gates Celebrates
BTG premiered on February 24, 2025, marking the first new CBS soap since The Bold and the Beautiful (which debuted in March 1987), and the first new daytime drama on a television network since 1999, when Passions first aired. Passions replaced Another World’s timeslot and would go on to run until 2006.
Beyond the Gates shoots in Atlanta, Georgia, about four months in advance of broadcast.
Storylines center around the Dupree family, made up of patriarch Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis), Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie), and their daughters, Nicole Dupree (Daphnee Duplaix) and Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley).
With that said, the show has also produced some interesting characters outside of the Dupree family, and fans even love to watch villains Leslie Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant), Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom), and Hayley Hamilton (Marquita Goings), just as much as their heroes!
