‘Beyond The Gates’ Spoilers: Jacob Places Marcel In Danger – Blows Undercover Sting Operation?

Beyond the Gates spoilers suggest that Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges) is in quite a moral dilemma at work. He believes his new partner is a dirty cop; however, the police chief (who happens to be his father) has continually warned his son to stay out of it.

Jacob is a trustworthy cop who joined the force to make a positive impact, but could his best intentions place Marcel in danger?

Jacob & Marcel Haven’t Seen Eye To Eye

From the moment Jacob and Marcel were partnered up, the two didn’t see eye to eye. In fact, the seasoned vet had been giving Jacob a hard time, and Jacob has felt as if there is something off with his partner.

He had his suspicions during the week of March 24-28 that Marcel was a dirty cop, and approached his police chief dad, Elon Hawthorne (Malachi Malik), about it. Elon quickly fluffed it off and then warned Marcel that Jacob was taking notice of things.

Still, during the week of March 31-April 4, Jacob will catch Marcel red-handed when he accepts money from Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom). But is everything how it seems?

What Is Really Going On?

Jacob is a good person and a cop who goes by the book. He has looked up to his dad over the years, so would Elon allow a dirty cop to remain on his force? Plus, at first glance, Elon seemed like a good person, too.

During his visit with Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie), it was clear that the Duprees respected both him and Jacob, so something feels “off” about this. While Marcel had been “hazing” Jacob, he may not be a bad person either.

Could Marcel be on an undercover case trying to expose Joey? Fans know the shady casino owner is up to no good, so perhaps the reason Marcel was partnered with Jacob was to throw Joey off.

He may have evidence on Joey, but nothing strong enough to “lock him” away for a long time, which is why he’s continuing to take money from him.

With Jacob trying to expose Marcel, could he end up exposing that Marcel is on an undercover case? Could he end up placing them both in danger?
