Beyond the Gates spoilers for the next two weeks, January 5-16, indicate some major bombshells on the horizon. Nicole Dupree (Daphnee Duplaix) will get her test results, while Ashley Morgan (Jen Jacob) gets a new love interest. Plus, Detective Marcel Malone (Darryl W. Handy) and Leslie Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant) get closer. What’s set to go down in Fairmont Crest over the next two weeks? Time to find out.

Anita Dupree’s Last Hurrah

Beyond the Gates spoilers for the week of January 5-9 reveal that as Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie) gears up for her medical treatments, which will start during the Friday, January 9 episode, she’ll also prepare a special surprise for her family.

It looks like Anita will organize a little party before she starts breast cancer therapy, to create some fun memories with her children and grandchildren before some terrible ones start to unravel.

Anita’s advice to her family is always to hold your head up high and be strong, so she’ll practice what she preaches this week.

Still, before that, Anita will have an intense encounter with an unexpected visitor who swings by. What could this be about?

Dupree Sisters Conflicted

Speaking of Anita, her daughters will feel very conflicted during the week of January 5-9. Both Nicole and Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley) will feel drawn to the exes, Bill Hamilton (Timon Durrett) and Ted Richardson (Keith D. Robinson).

However, they’ll also get comfort from their current significant others, Dr. Carlton Fitzgerald (Robert Christopher Riley) and Andre Richardson (Sean Freeman).

Still, Vernon can sense that Dani is gravitating toward Bill, so he’ll offer her a piece of advice, which will likely be to lean on Andre versus Bill during this trying time!

With that said, both sisters will get tested to see if they have the genetic marker Anita has.

During the week of January 12-19, the test results will be in, and it looks like Nicole may have tested positive. As Katherine “Kat” Richardson (Colby Natasha Nixon) is adamant about not getting tested if her mom has the genetic markers, this will continue to create conflict between her, her mom, and the rest of the Dupree family in the weeks to come.

Joey Armstrong’s World

Across town, Beyond the Gates spoilers for the week of January 5-9 reveal that Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli) will not only have distressing news, but she’ll also have a request for the casino owner.

All arrows are pointing to the fact that she’ll learn about Anita’s condition, and Nicole and Dani’s testing, and get freaked out about her own mortality … and Joey’s!

In other Joey news, he’ll present a proposal to Leslie – will he decide to help her out with her free clinic initiative? Regardless, there will be a “catch” to the partnership, so Leslie may not be pleased to learn this.

Meanwhile, Leslie and Marcel will get closer the week of January 5-9, and it sounds like they could hit the sheets by the time January 12-16.

Leslie’s daughter Eva Thomas (Ambyr Michelle) will also be enjoying her romance with Izaiah Hawthorne over the next two weeks, so fans need to savor every moment with the lovebirds as they continue the “honeymoon” phase of their courtship.

Tyrell Richardson’s Issues

During the week of January 5-9, Tyrell Richardson (Jaden Lucas Miller) will hit a snag in his relationship with his girlfriend, Jessica (Camryn Jade).

So much so, he’ll be acting completely out of his personality. He’ll butt heads with his grandmother, Nicole, about a family event, and by the end of the week, Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon) and Bradley “Smitty” Smith (Mike Manning) will be very concerned about Tyrell’s behavior.

 Girl Talk

Finally, Shanice Johnson (Ernestine Johnson) will spill a secret to Ashley Morgan (Jen Jacob), and it sounds like she’ll tell her colleague about the NYE kiss with Ted.

From the looks of it, Ted and Shanice will continue to bond the week of January 12-16, so will they share another lip lock or more?

In addition, Ashley may get a new romantic interest the week of January 12-16. The Season 2 promo shows the good nurse snuggling up to Jordi Vilasuso’s new character, so he should debut on the CBS soap sometime over the next two weeks, too.
